Last nights/this mornings lack of broadcasting by Bangmedia was due to a technical issue on the Freeview Side. Normal services should resume tonight.

Hope it's still on if/when Elise gets there! Who knows, there may be a vacant slot on 99 soon!

Does this mean that Virgin 1 will no longer be available on FV, or are they just moving to another channel number?

It appears to be just a re-branding:

Quote:Sky bought the Virgin Media TV division for £160m and has placed the acquired channels under the banner The Living TV Group (nma.co.uk 4 June 2010).

Channel One will be broadcast on the same channel numbers on Freeview, Sky and Virgin Media as Virgin1 and the schedule and programming stays the same, made up of US imports and original content. The broadcaster has just acquired the UK digital terrestrial rights for US science-fiction series V.

Yeah, this channel is leaving freeview next monday (Aug 23rd)
I'm not sure what's replacing it though; someone said Sky 3+1, but it might be encrypted...??

What a waste.... Does anyone watch Sky3? Huh
I've been watching the repeats of Prison Break on Sat nights, but the finale is this weekend.
Previously I think I only watched 24, but they haven't shown that on Sky3 for years.... A +1 channel is surely uncalled for.

RE: Freeview channel changes - TheWatcher - 19-08-2010 18:00

Sky 3 + 1 has just appeared in the EPG on my PVR this afternoon. Its on ch44.
On entering it, a message appears saying "This channel is not in service"
I suppose they have just got it ready for when Sky Sports News goes in a few days.

The only thing I ever watched was Mile High. Sky3+1 has come as a bit of a surprise to me - I thought Sky3 was taken off Freeview a year or so back! Rolleyes
