You take it wrong. If they produce the shows themselves they are in full control of them.

I wasn't being serious, i was just referring to the fact that the Logo pops up at various times on all the STD 66 channels, which suggests that at times no one other than the content compliance monitors are in control of what is being broadcast, it was sarcasm lol

They could have full control over the channel I suppose, but they certainly don't exercise full control over the channel.

As has already been posted, they don't need to exercise full control over the channel, as it's not an Ofcom requirement.

Since they choose to monitor for compliance only, they have made their choice to not exercise full control over the channel output.

I find it difficult to believe that STD 66 would not want to be in full control of programs broadcast on a channel it is the licence holder of, that broadcasts from the STD 66 studios using STD 66 equipment and sets etc, especially since they are already under investigation and are the ones Ofcom would hold responsible if content isn't to Ofcom's liking, any in breach rulings would be against STD 66 and not any providers of programs on this channel .

Whether they are in full control or partial control or whatever , Ofcom will only hold the licence holders responsible for content broadcast on 942 .
It just doesn't make sense (to me) for STD 66 not to be in full control of content broadcast on this channel .

PS, the logo is no safe guard, it very often pops up to late, and also indicates that something could have been broadcast that shouldn't have been .

Well they weren't in full control of the channel when it was Studio 66 USA were they?

Which led to some confusion about what had actually been broadcast one night, if you remember.

Yes and the channel that used to broadcast the USA show is currently under Ofcom investigation, which is why to me it makes sense for STD 66 to be in full control this time .

I don't see any cause for concern. From what I've seen, this channel looks to be following a safety first policy and is light years away from any compliance issues. If anything, it's the S66 producers which are a bit more daring. At least the S66 producers give you a few intrusive closeups.

this is what i don't get you admit the truth of the above and i fully agree with it but i can't see why you believe this means they don't have control of there out put as the simple truth is if 66 feel the output is about to breach compliance then the 66 logo will pop up on screen to stop us seeing the breach and in doing so 66 will have controlled the out put of XF

The Police monitor cars for compliance with the speed limit, and step in if there's a breech, but they don't control the cars themselves. The drivers do.

Please don't take this observation to mean I give a shit either way Wink

THURSDAY 25th SEPTEMBER 2014.

Tonight with Crystal Pink....
....supposedly partnered by Kartel K, but at 2200 no sign of her???

UPDATE>>> Kartel K appeared onscreen @2300 (Maybe planned) & took over from Crystal, who then went for break.

Exactly. The S66 cameraman are in a different class to the Xtreme Filth ones. Look at last night for example. Lots of great POV action and closeups with Kandi Kay. There's no comparison to what's on offer at Xtreme Filth. It's a different quality of camerawork entirely.

I'm not having a go at Xtreme Filth, by the way, before anyone jumps on me. I understand why they would be proceeding with the utmost caution, at least to start with, until they really get into the swing of things. So my post should not be read as a criticism of them.
