Of course the incumbent President is Biden so the VP would be Harris so I'd encourage that Alternatively you seem to be suggesting that Vance is worth sacrificing instead of Trump which bearing in mind Trumps record with Vance would be attractive to Trump In reality as SM rightly states it's not legally possible UNLESS Trump dies before the inauguration in which case Vance would be sworn in as President RE: International News Stories - dundeered - 06-01-2025 16:42 Justin Trudeau has resigned as Canadian Prime Minister. https://www.theguardian.com/world/live/2025/jan/06/justin-trudeau-cananda-quits-resigns-latest-live-news-updates?CMP=share_btn_url&page=with%3Ablock-677bff578f0853ec4d55bf92#block-677bff578f0853ec4d55bf92 RE: International News Stories - lovebabes56 - 06-01-2025 18:09 I hope now Canada elects a strong leader who has Canada's best interests at heart, I never realised how difficult a time he has had and the resignation of his deputy probably was the beginnning of the end. Trudeau has beeen elected 3 times as Prime Minister and I would think an Election in Early April has to beckon since Parliament in Canada is apparently prorogued until 24 March. When you think about it, the Trudeau family has been the most recognised name in Canadian politics. I beleve his father served twice as Prime Minister. RE: International News Stories - Tumble_Drier - 15-01-2025 17:19 Israel & Hamas have agreed a ceasefire & Hostage Release deal. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/live/c3rwqpj70ert RE: International News Stories - Charlemagne - 15-01-2025 18:00 ^ Didn't Donald Trump issue an untilmatum that this agreement had to be sorted before his inorgauration on the 20th of this month. Or else RE: International News Stories - southsidestu - 15-01-2025 21:39 The deal they have struck is practically the same deal that they had on the table in May. Ben-Gvir said the quiet part out loud & tweeted that they have repeatedly prevented this deal from happening confirming what we all know, Netanyahu has kept this war going, kept bombing Gaza, killing tens of thousands of civilains including children, turning every hospital to rubble to keep himself in power. Yep, but Trump said that this deal/ceasefire is all down to him & his administration even though it's been negotiated on for months RE: International News Stories - lovebabes56 - 16-01-2025 06:30 Typical Trump - trying to claim credit for it himself, when actually it's probably down to others doing the bloody hard work beforehand. RE: International News Stories - southsidestu - 16-01-2025 11:55 ^ Don't be too sure RE: International News Stories - lovebabes56 - 16-01-2025 22:27 Is it it all done and dusted? |
