Here's an update on the other major leagues in Europe:
Borussia Dortmund leading the Bundasliga ahead of Bayern Munich by three points.
Real Madrid's lead in the Spanish league has been cut to 4 points by Barcelona.
Juventus still unbeaten in the Italian league, have overtaken AC Milan to take a one point lead.
PSG and Montpellier are even on points in the French league, but Montpellier have a game in hand

The German league... What the English league once was.

Another win for Newcastle and another goal for Papiss Demba Cisse

did anyone see Derry's reaction at being sent off yesterday? no complaints, he just walked straight off the pitch. pure class. not bad for a player that was cheated.
i would have liked Rio to have gone further with his tweet and mentioned Young, but United always try to deal with things in-house, so i just hope they had a word with him

They're going to get mullered by Barcelona playing like they have the past 2 games.
Frei looks an excellent player. Well done Fulham, showed real spirit and should probably have walked away with 3 points tonight.

the penalty was confusing with the ref not giving it against murphy
RE: Football Banter - Money_Shot - 09-04-2012 21:39
I could kind of understand the penalty if it was against Murphy. Studs up in the box. Geoff Shreeves said is wasn't against Murphy, so what the ref was thinking I don't know. However, I did think he had a good game and let it flow, which is what's needed in a derby game.

What a great day for Newcastle, just hope when the summer transfer window opens, we can keep this squad together, because the player I fear will leave is Tiote, but on the plus side we have one of the best scouting systems in England, so we will have no problem finding a good replacement

i worry for Pardew next season. Newcastle have punched well above their weight this year and if they are down around mid-table next season, i think the fans will want him out
