RE: Internet Porn Site Regulation - Rammyrascal - 20-06-2019 13:56 Yep RE: Internet Porn Site Regulation - billyboy1963 - 20-06-2019 14:08 Another total cock up by the May administration and costing a fortune to achieve nothing once more RE: Internet Porn Site Regulation - munch1917 - 21-06-2019 04:27 So presumably once we are out the EU, we don't have to inform them, and this can then happen, so we just have to wait for brexit ... ah hang on It would be such a shame if this dies a death and the likes of pornhub will have spent all that money on their AV system for nothing RE: Internet Porn Site Regulation - russmeyer - 21-06-2019 07:29 why would tubestation need AV ? https://tubestation.org/ RE: Internet Porn Site Regulation - CIA Snooper - 21-06-2019 11:47 (20-06-2019 11:22 )Rammyrascal Wrote: 6 months but wouldn’t be surprised if it’s longer It could actually be less than 6 months. Taking the required steps, if they do it as quickly as possible, could mean a delay of not much more than 3 months. Their AV system has been live in Germany for 3 years in accordance with the age verification rules of the German Media Authority. So far, desite much talk, they haven't bothered to roll it out for the UK. RE: Internet Porn Site Regulation - admiral decker - 21-06-2019 15:44 Mindgeek have had a few meetings with the government, but have not paid anyone to lobby for them, nor have they paid for any PR. In fact they are a company which rarely seeks publicity of any kind. Their own VPN has been available for more than a year already and is available globally, including countries where all porn is illegal. It would not be withdrawn if AV were to be scrapped in the UK. RE: Internet Porn Site Regulation - ShandyHand - 21-06-2019 18:38 My response was not an entirely serious one. You seem to be well acquainted with their business here to state your facts so definitively. Would you like to tell us how you can contradict with such assurance? To state with your usual determination that Mindgeek (who, as you rightly say, do not like their dealings spotlighted in the normal course of events) have not spent a single penny committing themselves to something they have clearly invested some not inconsiderable time over is quite a bold statement ... Unless that is you are involved in their adult web industry somehow? P.S. AV was meant to launch in the UK April 2018 (i.e. "more than a year" ago). It had been in the works for some three years prior to that. |
