I may possibly in the past have been less than great about an icy windscreen. Snow is usually easier to deal with.

Didn't they bring in a law a few years ago, that stated it was illegal to leave your engine running if car is in stationary position even on your drive and you was fined something on the spot? I've lost count the number of times i have walked to work and have seen people leaving vehicle engines running.
Also while crossing the road after finishing work one night, I counted six vehicles that passed me before I crossed, where people were either on mobiles while driving or eating and i swear to god one was eating a subway Roll!!At this time of year, you should be more in control of your vehicle rather than trying to be clever and multitask at the wheel!!
