RE: NFL 2025-2026 season - ukusagolf - 18-01-2026 22:28 "Fiercely fought but frightfully flawed" is how I'd describe the Texans/Patriots game so far RE: NFL 2025-2026 season - Hobgoblin - 18-01-2026 23:23 Patriots playoff games have been mostly dull but it looks like they could make the Super Bowl. RE: NFL 2025-2026 season - Hobgoblin - 18-01-2026 23:41 Well this is Rammy’s moment! Bears & Rams should be a banger! I will be watching in between checking out Jesse Rae & Becky B!
RE: NFL 2025-2026 season - Boomerangutangangbang - 19-01-2026 08:03 Pats 28 - 16 Texans The game never had any flow with defence holding sway for the most part The Pat had 3 turnovers, the Texans 5, Last week it was fumbles for Stroud this time round it was interceptions with 4 costly picks. Credit to the Pats defence for keeping the game close. Maye was still able to come up with key plays & his receivers came up with some great catches with 3 passing TD's for Maye he was helped out by Stevenson who had 70 yards rushing from 16 carries. Stroud the the ball 47 time with just 20 completions as the Pats completely shut down the Texans running game, Mark had only 17 yards from 14 carries. Questions will no doubt be asked regarding Stroud being able to get to the next elite level at QB. Such a shame we will be robbed of a QB shootout between Maye & Nix. RE: NFL 2025-2026 season - Boomerangutangangbang - 19-01-2026 08:34 Bears 17 - 20 Rams O/T A compelling game played in tough conditions, both QB's struggled to complete better than 50% of their passes with some great defensive play. Stafford was sacked 4 times but more costly Williams threw 3 interception one of which helped set up the game winning field goal in overtime. The Bears had opportunities to win this game they took their shots making 3/6 on 4th downs & punting just 3 times. The Rams were more conservative punting 8 times. I think Williams used up all his magic on the ridiculous game tying TD, it was 4th & 4 at the Rams 14 & Maye was forced back by the pass rush somewhere around the 40 & still managed to heave the ball to Kmet in the End Zone with 2 defenders in his face. Was that the momentum shift right there, should they have gone for glory in regulation & tried a 2 point conversion, it would've been a brave call. RE: NFL 2025-2026 season - ukusagolf - 19-01-2026 14:51 The Bills have fired Sean McDermott RE: NFL 2025-2026 season - Boomerangutangangbang - 19-01-2026 16:06 The Bills failure to go all in & add much needed star talent to support Josh Allen has been the main reason why they have been a good team who can make the playoffs but not good enough to win Super Bowls. It hasn't help that the Chiefs with Reid & Mahomes have dominated much of the 9 years that McDermott has been with the Bills. RE: NFL 2025-2026 season - lovebabes56 - 19-01-2026 17:31 I will stick my beck in the chopper and go any team vs the rams in the SB RE: NFL 2025-2026 season - ukusagolf - 19-01-2026 17:40 The harsh reality of today's NFL Maybe I'm just an old school NFL fan, but these coaching changes seem like teams panicking that their Super Bowl windows have closed. Could be a recipe for the stable organizations to remain at the top while the rest keep chasing that elusive Lombardi trophy. For all the quick turnarounds like the Bears and Patriots this season, there are the Titans and Raiders of the league that are looking for answers. The Titans had Vrabel, were the #1 seed in 2021, and the organization fell apart quickly after trading AJ Brown. The Raiders haven't recovered from the "Tuck Rule" game. The dastardly Patriots are in a great spot Mike Vrabel is now the longest tenured coach in the AFC East
RE: NFL 2025-2026 season - Hobgoblin - 19-01-2026 18:35 Dan Campbell would have gone for 2 points at the end of regulation. I was very surprised Ben Johnson didn’t after all those fourth down conversions. OT is a crap shoot. I bet Ben Johnson wishes he had gone for it.[/i] |
