Good point but in a warped way an encouraging trend. The more male nudity becomes accepted the better the chance that female nudity will be tolerated.

One thing that pisses me off it that this kind of stuff is only shown in the early evening. Late night channels are full of repeats but do they show "educational" material? Fuck no.[/quote]

Been there before, got optimistic before, only to have hopes dashed. Sometimes the long silences are a sign that they are building up as many cases as they can for a themed attack. Other times its as if the trainee has been left in charge while the boss is away, and he or she isnt really bovvered, but its catch up time when the boss descends.

The petition itself is up to 330 signatures now. Was it only a week ago when it reached 300? (It was 1am on the 17th, 11 days ago). Slow progress, but progress all the same and streets ahead of the few pro censorship petitions. Will start a new approach today.

In this modern society when everybody seems to be suing everybody and putting in grievance claims and procedures, can't the babe channels not simply put in an official complaint against Ofcom and have them investigated for unwarranted harrassment. Just a thought as Ofcom I feel have overstepped the mark on too many occasions as they are clearly incapable of carrying out their duties with any kind of fairness or equality and are more based on ideas of prejugement rather than concrete evidence or fact.

Great post mate spot on, if the babe channels got together and put in an official complaint against Ofcom, then you'll never no what might happen. I do think the Babe channels need to man up, I think they're to scared to do anything, strength in numbers springs to mind.

RE: Petition - Scottishbloke - 30-10-2011 16:13

I'm sure there must be lawyers out there who could offer the babe channels execs a no money no fee in order for them to take Ofcom to court, I actually honestly think that it is a winable case, Ofcom have been throwing their weight around for the past 8 years or so and could be stripped of their right to regulate and could very well be suspended from office pending investigation and what a field day you would have, a lot of dirt and corruption could be found out about Ofcom, at the end of the day we don't live in a democracy to be told what we can and cannot choose to watch in our leisure time by anybody, it's a breach of our basic Human Rights and Ofcom can be brought to their knee's, in the meantime it is vitally important that we get as many signatures to this worthwhile petition as possible as these numbers can do a lot of damage to Ofcom and call into question their credibilty and whether or not they are deemed fit enough to carry on regulating not just the Adult Channels but all the channels.

RE: Petition - continental19 - 30-10-2011 16:24

Very true mate, well you never no what might be happening behind closed doors concerning the Babe channels, maybe just maybe some action might be taking place with lawsuits being put to Ofcom? You never no.
I do agree with you though that the more people that sign this petition the more clout we will have to fight our case against Ofcom.

SO EVERYBODY SIGN THE PETITIONImportantImportantImportantImportant

That's the whole crux of this issue, though. Ofcon do not want explicit sex on UK TV so will therefore dream up any excuse of their abhorrent broadcasting code to justify this witchunt against erotic entertainment on our screens. That's for Johnny Foreigner, after all. We don't want to be like him, do we. Filthy bastard.

RE: Petition - Money_Shot - 30-10-2011 20:46

I don't think explicit sex should nessacerally be on our screens unless there was a pin code. I'm just pissed off the babeshows are so tame. Babes lay there tits out, that's it, they used to be themed, sexy, and cutting edge. Now they are dull, boring tame and something to fall to sleep to.

who gave them the god damn right to be judge and jury on what the adult population wants to watch in their own time ,they are not indistructable as the babe shows make out ,there has to be a legal process for them to prosecute the channel through a court of law for it to be legal to dish these fines out which would at least give the chance for the babe channels to have their say, so who authorises these fines? thats what i want to know,is it some kind of kangaroo court or summat!i

RE: Petition - continental19 - 30-10-2011 20:59

True money shot, but this is what really annoys me, on the SKY EPG you have a choice to block these channels quite easily, so if you don't want to watch them, or you're afraid your children might stumble on them, then all you have to do is enter a 4 digit pin code and that's it. The channels are Permantly blocked.
The fact they remain free to air in my opinion is neither here nor there, if you don't want to watch them, well don't watch them it's that simple.

Successive governments, both Labour and Con-Dem. That's who.
