had a look from what i can see the other 1m+ where in 2019 when it just started and had the new show buzz, in 2020 it settled into on 800k average down from a 900k average in 2019, if they can get into a high 900k average for this year which would need a number of 1m+ shows, its going to be interesting to see if they can do it i think they need a good next PPV to really bring the people in,
it seams the most important rating was Dynamite ranked number 2 on the Cable Top 150 this week with a 0.44 rating in the 18-49 key demographic, which is what advertisers like and make the channel its on money,
it was also the 26 highest watched cable show in USA last week i hope this is signs that wrestling is making a come back as Smackdown- 2nd on network tv for the night, Raw- 1st on cable for the night, NXT - 8th on cable for the night,

found the uk viewing figures for 2021 so far , very interesting numbers AEW doing well but very up and down raw less than when on sky but ok, smackdown and NXT often getting such small numbers of viewers they do not show up on the lists, and easy to see why impact has been dropped

The sting debut episode with shaq on last year did 1.1 million i think, they just need to keep them if they start falling again that wont be good.

As for the uk wrestling ratings are always up and down... its amazing to think back in the late 90s on sky sports wwe raw was doing around half a million viewers beating most premier league football games and i think the last episode on sky got like 17k lol

RE: All Elite Wrestling discussion Thread - winsaw - 16-04-2021 18:40

^^ i think the sting and shaq where 900k but would have to check mate, i do totally agree its all about keeping them if next week it 900k thats good if it drops to 700k thats a worry,

i know its amazing how the wwe has dropped so much since its 90's heyday on sky, i do wonder if aew was on earlier it would do bigger numbers on ITV, i saw a think from AEW saying they plan to come to UK next year for a tour and maybe a live show on itv, as they are very happy with there numbers, i hope they do better though, as its not that long since impact was doing half a mill on tv,

RE: All Elite Wrestling discussion Thread - Kingsmind - 17-04-2021 13:41

I wonder how long it's going to be before Cody Rhodes gets his shot at the AEW World Title normally with stipulations like this if this was WWE they would take away the stipulation straight away which i find stupid but it's only storyline after all.

In other news Anthony Ogogo must of done a hell of a lot of training to become a wrestler he was with AEW for ages before making his debut , at least he is taking his wrestling seriously unlike other boxer's that do a bit of wrestling but it is different for him as he had to retire because of his eye injury so at least he is trying to make another career for himself so good on him.

RE: All Elite Wrestling discussion Thread - 2015watcher - 17-04-2021 13:58

Jericho v Dax was good viewing with plenty action in and out of the ring though I thought the interference style ending wasn't needed should have just let a winner happen normally. I was surprised when Anthony Ogogo appeared I didn't know he had went into wrestling I remember watching him at the Olympics.

RE: All Elite Wrestling discussion Thread - Geriisgreat - 17-04-2021 21:24

Darby allin against Matt hardy was pretty good I've been enjoying the progress Darby has made in the last 6 months alone
Whilst the pinnacle against the inner circle building nicely before blood and guts next month

RE: All Elite Wrestling discussion Thread - winsaw - 25-04-2021 15:30

this is good news Dynamite averaged 1.104 million viewers last week , great to see it over 1m when its not a special show,

RE: All Elite Wrestling discussion Thread - winsaw - 25-04-2021 15:58

i really like the show this week

match 1) Hangman Page vs. Ricky Starks
this was a good fun start to the show but not as good as it could have been as Ricky heart his ankle for real during the match,
good to see Page now officially the number 1 contender i like the slow build hes getting, 7 out of 10

match 2) Trent vs. Penta El Zero Miedo
again this was a good but not great match i have seen both do better but there was a lot to like, the screw job finish keeps he feud between Death Triangle and Best Friends alive and showed off Abrahantes in this new role as the mouthpiece for Penta, 7 out of 10

match 3) AEW Women's Championship Match: Hikaru Shida vs. Tay Conti
what a great match lots of really good quality wrestling from both, Tay looked a star in her first title match and i would not be surprised to see her with the belt by the end of the year, Shida showed again why shes one of the best female wrestlers at the moment her run with the belt has been a good one, 8 out of 10
after the Baker come out to show shes now number 1 contender i expecter her to win at the next PPV as that lets Shida have the belt a whole year,

match 4) Billy Gunn vs. QT Marshall
this was ok match it did its job of putting over Comoroto, Ogogo and Solow, everyone did what they needed to, it sets up a PPV match with Cody back for that so good story work 6 out of 10,

match 5) Christian Cage vs. Powerhouse Hobbs
one of those matches where to 2 wrestlers styles are so different they just cant have a good match, Hobbs is very slow and this stopped Cage showing his usual exciting moves, Hobbs needs a couple of more years experience before he is in a match like this again, 5 out of 10

main event TNT Championship Match: Darby Allin vs. Jungle Boy
i was expecting a great match and it delivered, they where great together, they worked so well together, they shows why they are the future of wrestling, i loved this match, everyone need to see this match its a master class, 9 out of 10
after the match Sky and Page beat up the baby faces before Sting made the save, that could be setting up a match at the next PPV,

next weeks show sounds very interesting its only going to have one match that will last the whole 2 hours as The Inner Circle and The Pinnacle fight in a Blood and Guts match i am really interested to see how they are going to pull this off,

RE: All Elite Wrestling discussion Thread - winsaw - 30-04-2021 17:19

Dynamite averaged 889000 viewers this week, so down a bit but still good
