i still think that once you are in your seat, you should support your side. that goes for all teams. that's why they are called SUPPORTers. fans at the bottom boo their side till they start winning, without realising it has the opposite effect. fans at the top expect their team to get them going when it should be the other way around.
there is nothing wrong with booing your team at half-time/full-time to give them a kick up the arse or send a message, but during the game the most helpful thing you can do is create a positive atmosphere to spur your team on. too many fans nowadays only sing when they're winning.
remember - nothing gives your opponent's fans more pleasure than when you start booing your own side
