Hodgson has more experience in international football, so he is the right choice

Rover will have to get himself a new avatar as Blackburn just rolled over and gave in.
Not one shot at goal, sorry not one shot at all.

Will have to watch The Football League Show instead and so will I for that matter. Not sure which is worse to be honest . Then again maybe that view is a reflection of my disillusioned view of football in the light of a season I would rather forget. Watching any football programming is not an appetising prospect at the moment.

If any of ye ever get tired of listening to the pundits on Match of the Day, have a listen to our pundits from across the water on RTE, most notably Eamon Dunphy, here are some vids

HODGSON????
Don't get me wrong, I like the bloke but England Manager?? Sorry, but that'd be one step forward, two steps back. He'd be another Steve McLaren.
Yes, he did well with Switzerland and Finland, where he made the best of limited resources and if he had been appointed as manager of Scotland or Wales it would have been an excellent choice. And yes, he's done a good job at West Brom, but he has limitations at the highest levels as he showed at Liverpool.
When it comes to the big tournaments we have gone out at the quarter-final stage far too many times and we need a manager with the creativity and mindset to take us to that next level. Hodgson would be a safe pair of hands but we won't win anything with him.

Bbc has dropped the fucking awful fls, sky are taking up the coverage
RE: Football Banter - Money_Shot - 29-04-2012 21:44
I'm hoping the new football league coverage will show more then 10 seconds of Aldershot footage next season. We've even been excluded at least once in the "Round up in 60 seconds" Complete joke, especially as you've got to stay up ridiculously late to see it. I'm just glad I actually make it to most the games so don't have to rely on it.
RE: Football Banter - gazfc - 29-04-2012 21:47
Same here, we've been ignored for pretty much the full season, the only downside to sky is they might be waiting till Monday to show any highlights
RE: Football Banter - Money_Shot - 29-04-2012 21:54
To put it politely, that is annoying!! As long as they don't get Peter Taylor to anchor it
