Chelsea have announced the signing of Cesc Fabregas from Barcelona. He has joined on a 5 year contract and will wear the no. 4 shirt.

An interesting start to the season for Chelsea. In the first 6 away games we have to travel to Man City, Man Utd and Liverpool, not to mention Everton and Palace where we lost last season.

Chelsea have announced the signing by the women's team of Portuguese international winger Ana Borges. The 24-year-old arrives from Atletico Madrid and previously played for Laura dos Santos in Portugal, Prainsa Zaragoza in Spain and Blue Heat in the USA. She has 56 caps for Portugal.

Chelsea have announced that goalkeeper Mark Schwarzer has signed a new 1 year contract. He made 13 appearances for Chelsea last season.

Special congratulations to Andre Schurrle who delivered the cross from which Mario Gotze volleyed in the only goal of the World Cup final.
Schurrle is the 3rd player to win the World Cup whilst playing with Chelsea, after Frank Lebeouf and Marcel Desailly who won with France.

hope he brings that confidence back with him to Chelsea, if only to compensate for the shattered morale of Oscar and Willian.
