I totally agree, I was thinking there just seemed little point on it being in this section now as we were all no longer talking about the original point of the topic. RE: RIP Bang Babes - Regenerated - 03-12-2010 16:42 Would probably make the most sense if the thread was moved to Broadcasting Regulations. I tend to vent my anger against Bang Media in the licence revoke thread anyway... in fact, I just have put another post in that thread.. I'm not surprised by this, wouldn't that be more of a thing to ask the BBFC? Just a general thought and nothing to do with the babeshows but can ofcom do anything about a film that's been rated by the BBFC? RE: RIP Bang Babes - Regenerated - 03-12-2010 17:06 I was under the impression that the BBFC had final judgment on film classification, but there's some homework for us all to find out.... RE: RIP Bang Babes - bigguy01 - 03-12-2010 23:39 bbfc are the only one that can classify films, just check one of my dvds. the only time when ofcom can be involved with a film being shown on tv is what time the film is on and what scenes are shown that time for example you not would have a clock work orange or eyes wide shut at 9pm due the content it will be more likely be on at 10/11pm RE: RIP Bang Babes - Krill Liberator - 03-12-2010 23:51 (03-12-2010 16:42 )Regenerated Wrote: Would probably make the most sense if the thread was moved to Broadcasting Regulations. There. I have just, with a single act, totally justified this thread's location in this section of the forum, firmly nullified the original purpose of the thread and openly lent my support to Regenerated's "Let's tear down Bang Media's tattered remains and burn it til something improved and less silly comes along" campaign. Cos it's a good idea and Bang are very naughty indeed on a number of levels. And I contradicted some stuff I said previously. Yay! Not really a question about Bangbabes is it? But topical as I rabbited on about the supposed rules. Ofcom say that generally they abide by BBFC ratings, but there will be some BBFC rated films that are not suitable for TV. They dont really elaborate. Doesnt help that the BBFC draw a subtle distinction between what is OK for cinema and on DVD (ability to freeze frame, slo-mo, repeat scenes, see scenes out of context). Dont expect to see 9 Songs or Brown Bunny on TV anytime soon. Or the cock kissing scene from Betty Blue. Explicit sexual activity *can* be shown on TV in non-pornographic films without Ofcom batting an eyelid. The Brown Bunny has indeed been on TV as I've seen it and it wasn't on DVD. Also, there's the brief penetration featured in Lars Von Trier's The Idiots and the German film Taxi Zum Klo, which includes explicit gay sex and even a golden shower scene. RE: RIP Bang Babes - dave34 - 04-12-2010 10:17 what will sky do if they see that red light zone is not going out on 948 as that is what channel is call will they remove it or get the output cut . as for ofcom could ask sky to remove that channel number jest like they did with 959 RE: RIP Bang Babes - gazfc - 04-12-2010 12:28 (04-12-2010 03:46 )eccles Wrote:(03-12-2010 16:55 )gazfc Wrote: Just a general thought and nothing to do with the babeshows but can ofcom do anything about a film that's been rated by the BBFC? It wasnt but thanks for answering. At the time I was thinking, as the BBFC rate a number of things including video games would it not be worthwhile for the shows to try and get a BBFC rating? Then I remembered that they wouldn't be able too, as the shows are 'live' and there-fore would be impossible to rate. |
