RE: Cricket Banter - Billy_Nomates - 17-04-2014 15:14 The new IPL starts in the UAE because of potential disruption to the general election which is taking place currently in India. I read that the international press have been barred, again, from taking pictures of the event. This is because the IPL want to have exclusive control over all images taken. You know I think that the England set up can cope with that.I think they're well shot of KP and in the fullness of time we might get to hear what really happened on the Ashes tour(lawyers and embargos permitting) RE: Cricket Banter - William H Bonney - 18-04-2014 12:54 (17-04-2014 11:33 )Jack Bishop Wrote: Although would have to agree if he does really well could be eggs on face time for the England set up. Pietersen wasn't dropped by England over form or ability, so scoring runs in the IPL will make no difference to the England set up. Well that is true but I doubt it will stop a media clamour for his return to the set up should he did well this summer. From April 16th - 30th UAE (20 Matches) May 2nd - June 1st India (40 Matches) RE: Cricket Banter - mikedafc - 18-04-2014 23:02 Peter Moores likely to be named England's new coach. Good choice? RE: Cricket Banter - Boomerangutangangbang - 19-04-2014 00:27 Moores is a quality county coach, but has to be lucky to get a 2nd go at the job.My problem is that he has never played at the highest level,it must be an advantage to be able to relate to the players in your charge if you've experienced International Cricket. Interesting that Paul Farbrace has been tipped to be his Assistant Coach when he has only recently been appointed as Sri Lankan Coach, with their tour to England upcoming. RE: Cricket Banter - Rammyrascal - 19-04-2014 10:54 been confirmed this morning Peter Moores is the new England head coach. good choice I think as he has done very well at county level, especially at Lancashire who I support |
