Suspended for a week for swearing about an elected Government official, if it had been the other way around then the MP would probably be leaving his constituency having another by-election. The press really do get away with murder.

Are you serious,an mp would slither there way out with an excuse,i have mis spoken, have you not watched interviews they are grade a at it.It is the one and only thing they are good at.
A little unfair!!

That definitely isn't true. I remember Denis Healey swearing in a TV studio and he didn't have to resign from anything. Only 3 months ago one of the Education Ministers swore at protesters and made a rude gesture to them and she didn't resign from anything either. It is true that a Labour MP resigned as a whip in 2012 after swearing at a policeman, but he didn't resign as an MP and has actually been re-elected twice since then.

Boris shouldn't be standing, he still has standards committee to attend to in November over whether he misled Parliament. If he is found to have misled Parliament, it is a serious charge.

After just 44 days in office, Liz Truss is eligible to collect a £115,000 allowance for the rest of her life annoyed

Today the press hound an MP until they have to resign, remember the press report on their own and slant it the way they want....and there is the old fall back " a source close to " we cannot independently corroborate these sources and nobody else knows who they are so the press can say what they like. Phone hacking still goes on no doubt as well.

I suggest lots of candidates put their names forward.
This will hopefully create a situation where nobody gets to the required 100 nominations so it scuppers the whole thing and turns it into an even bigger dog's breakfast than it is already Big Grin.

Then all the candidates should be disqualified so we can call a General Election and all vote Monster Raving Loony Big Grin.
