Kaspersky is excellent for viruses and general protection but Malwares are sneaky buggars and are becoming more and more difficult to get out of your system once in there - they can even stop anti-virus systems running - Malwarebytes offers an excellent free anti-Malware download for personal users http://www.malwarebytes.org/

Don't know of anything definite, I remember something about it only going to be an occasional appearance ie one a month or so at most
