RE: Scottish Football - Doddle - 14-09-2013 17:56 East Stirling returned to winning ways against Clyde, and have a 2 point lead again RE: Scottish Football - Scottishbloke - 15-09-2013 21:44 So week 6 in the Scottish Premiership and the results from the weekend went as follows: Hearts 1 Celtic 3 Kilmarnock 1 Inverness CT 2 Partick Thistle 0 Aberdeen 3 St Johnstone 1 Hibernian 2 St Mirren 0 Motherwell 1 Ross County 2 Dundee United 4 Interestingly this is the first time since August 2008 that all the away teams have claimed victory. Good win for my Dundee United team today but I think the surprise result from the weekend probably has to go to Hibernian remembering that just a few short weeks ago their gaffer Pat Fenlon was severely under pressure and almost ended up as the first manager casualty of the new season. RE: Scottish Football - Doddle - 21-09-2013 18:25 East Stirling lost 4-1 at home, but apparently still manage to stay top. RE: Scottish Football - Scottishbloke - 22-09-2013 16:26 Now into week 7 in the newly named Scottish Premiership. All games have now been played and the results went as follows. Aberdeen 1 Inverness CT 0 Celtic 2 St Johnstone 1 Hibernian 2 St Mirren 0 Partick Thistle 1 Kilmarnock 1 Ross County 2 Hearts 1 Dundee United 2 Motherwell 2 From a Dundee United point of view, having just watched the game overall I'm happy with a point, I was gutted that we couldn't hold onto our 2-1 lead but going by the fact that we were 1-0 down at half time and in all honesty we were lucky that the margin wasn't bigger as we never competed in the first half but a fantastic second half display saw us come back and almost gain all 3 points. A special mention has to go to Ross County, Hearts must be gutted as they led 1-0 for the whole game but managed to concede 2 goals in 2 minutes. Elsewhere today it finished Forfar 0 Rangers 1. I can't believe Rangers were holding on for dear life against the mighty Forfar when in reality going by the players Rangers have got they should really have hammered them 6 or 7 RE: Scottish Football - lovebabes56 - 23-09-2013 10:13 Were Rangers told to go easy on the teams they're playing? RE: Scottish Football - Doddle - 25-09-2013 06:57 I was dismayed that unbeaten Hamilton were walloped by middling St Johnstone. And then I saw what befell Celtic... RE: Scottish Football - Scottishbloke - 26-09-2013 17:27 Right I'd better not mention the Celtic result for too long as I imagine that's probably quite a sore one for terrence and Smc@ to take On the bonus side that now means that a side outwith the old firm will collect the trophy for the 3rd consecutive season and for all those who like to look at statistics this will be the first time that this will have happened since season 1973/74 which incidentally was won by Dundee after beating Celtic 1-0 all those year's ago. All the results from the Scottish League Cup 3rd Round went as follows: Tuesday 24th September 2013 Celtic 0 Morton 1 (sorry I couldn't resist) Dundee 0 Inverness CT 1 Hamilton 0 St Johnstone 3 Hibernian 5 Stranraer 3 Wednesday 25th September 2013 Falkirk 0 Aberdeen 5 Dundee United 4 Partick Thistle 1 Hearts 3 Queen of Sth 3 (Hearts win 4-2 on penalties) Livingston 1 Motherwell 2 The draw for the Quarter Finals went as follows: Inverness CT v Dundee United Morton v St Johnstone Hibernian v Hearts Motherwell v Aberdeen Ties to be played on 29/30 October 2013 RE: Scottish Football - Joey 27 - 26-09-2013 21:07 i think celtic should have started the season on -20 points then that will give other teams a chance to win the title and can rangers win every single game this season? RE: Scottish Football - SOCATOA - 26-09-2013 21:12 Motherwell-Aberdeen is the tie of the round for me RE: Scottish Football - Doddle - 28-09-2013 18:29 East Stirling returned to winning ways and now have a 4 point lead |
