RE: Tennis Discussion Thread - Tractor boy - 11-07-2015 15:00 Serena looks so much stronger physically and so much more athletic then the other female players she can keep winning slams for another five years if she wants to. RE: Tennis Discussion Thread - Mellow - 11-07-2015 17:14 Murray & Peers have been beaten 7-6 6-4 6-4 by Rojer & Tecau. RE: Tennis Discussion Thread - HannahsPet - 11-07-2015 20:27 Martina Hingis has won womens double stll looks good for 34 RE: Tennis Discussion Thread - bigguy01 - 11-07-2015 20:32 the women's game is boring at the moment, it will be better when serena Williams retires. the mens final should be a classic, I can see it being long 5 set game. RE: Tennis Discussion Thread - circles_o_o_o - 11-07-2015 20:42 Serena has been in the spotlight for about 15 years now, most of it at the top of the game, I find it surprising that she hasn't inspired a generation of similar sort of players, focusing on muscle and power. There must be a lot of girls who grew up having her as their tennis idol, where are any of them now? Not that that's what I want to see, but I would have thought there would be at least a few who modelled themselves on her by now. Seems she is a one of a kind. And as you say - if they're so inspirational, where are their successors? No bloody where! Hurrah for Hingis, btw RE: Tennis Discussion Thread - Mellow - 12-07-2015 15:08 Amazing Men's final Djokovic-Federer one set all after 2 tie-breaks. RE: Tennis Discussion Thread - setter1000 - 12-07-2015 15:26 The thing about Serena is that she has past numerous drug tests but always seemed to get her dick caught in the bottle. Serena deserves her success because she works harder than everyone else. She is also extremly realistic in the difference of standards between the men's and women game. She said only way she could beat Murray is if he had one serve and she had the tramlines. Even than she would need a 30 -0 start. Humility of a true champion. She Is also not scared to bulk up in order to add power to her game. The others seem not wanting to do that in case it effects their modeling contracts. RE: Tennis Discussion Thread - Mellow - 12-07-2015 16:33 Djokovic has won the title, beating Federer 7-6 6-7 6-4 6-3 RE: Tennis Discussion Thread - Mellow - 12-07-2015 18:06 Martina Hingis has won another title, this time the mixed doubles with Leander Paes, beating Peya & Babos 6-1 6-1 |
