RE: Scottish Football - Doddle - 20-10-2013 06:55 East Stirling held to a draw in the end, but still top. Credit to Brechin City who nearly held Rangers to a draw, but managed to lose 4-3 in the end RE: Scottish Football - Doddle - 23-10-2013 12:35 Credit to Celtic for beating Ajax last night. Given the expectation is they'll lose all their group games, it's at least good they can still show they're good enough sometimes RE: Scottish Football - Doddle - 26-10-2013 19:06 East Stirling lost comfortably at Montrose, but remain top on goal difference from Clyde with a game in hand. For saying they're only a 10-team division, it's still tight that the top 9 are separated by just 4 points. RE: Scottish Football - Doddle - 30-10-2013 14:24 Good away win for East Stirling at Annan last night, so we're back 3 points clear RE: Scottish Football - Doddle - 03-11-2013 19:46 Dundee Utd were desperately unlucky not to get the win against Celtic yesterday RE: Scottish Football - Scottishbloke - 03-11-2013 20:00 Thanks Doddle for reminding me I was in the house yesterday tuned into Radio Scotland getting ready to celebrate, I was absolutely gutted. We haven't beaten Celtic since 1992 on their ground and the hoodoo was almost broken. Once all the dust has settled I can be very proud of the way Dundee United performed. Celtic have given us so many heartaches over the years. Last season we were edged out at the Scottish Cup Semi-Finals by a single goal in what was a truly magnificent game in which we cruelly lost 4-3 after extra time. Also a special mention must go to St Mirren who must have been more gutted than Dundee United were as their game was abandoned at the start of the second half after leading 2-0 against Ross County but the referee deemed the pitch too dangerous for the match to continue due to a waterlogged pitch Here is all the results from the Scottish Premiership on Saturday and today. Look away now if you're a Hearts supporter as they are really in the mire now. Celtic 1 Dundee United 1 Hearts 0 St Johnstone 2 Inverness CT 2 Kilmarnock 1 Motherwell 1 Hibernian 0 A miserable week for Hibs fans being rounded off by defeat today 2 days since Pat Fenlon decided to walk away from the club after mounting pressure from the fans. RE: Scottish Football - mikedafc - 06-11-2013 22:45 Typical Ref at Ibrox, Rangers being held 0-0 by Dunfermline Athletic lets give them dodgy penalty and send Dunfermline player off RE: Scottish Football - Scottishbloke - 11-11-2013 20:05 Well first off the big breaking story up here is that Terry Butcher will become the new manager of Hibernian. I think all of us could see just what a truly fantastic job he's been doing at Inverness CT and in all honesty has probably taken them as far as he could. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/24897952 I think many in the game were very surprised when he rejected to take the job at Barnsley back in January which was also very admirable of him proving that money was never a factor in his decision in an age where this seems to talk all too often. All the results from the weekend went as follows. Ross County 1 Celtic 4 Aberdeen 1 Hearts 3 Hibernian 0 Inverness CT 2 Motherwell 0 Dundee United 4 Partick Thistle 0 St Mirren 3 St Johnstone 3 Kilmarnock 1 As always a few surprise results. After the great run of form Aberdeen have been in few would have expected crisis hit club Hearts to go up there and gain all 3 points. Although my Dundee United team have also been in very good form lately I never expected then in my wildest dreams to go to Motherwell and put 4 goals past them. Motherwell in recent times have proved to be tough opposition, not on Saturday though as we destroyed them. Glad I'm a Dundee United supporter, I sure as hell wouldn't fancy playing them next as each week we are getting better and better. Another result that stuck out for me was St Mirren who seem to be getting it all together and gelling more as a team. Very interesting at the moment as the battle at the top end and at the wrong end of the table looks like nothing is certain. Hearts remain the bookies favorite for the drop but I wouldn't put it past them to get a string of results together going into the New Year. RE: Scottish Football - Joey 27 - 11-11-2013 23:11 i didn;t know this former Luton player is homeless http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/24870112 RE: Scottish Football - Doddle - 12-11-2013 07:53 (11-11-2013 20:05 )Scottishbloke Wrote: Well first off the big breaking story up here is that Terry Butcher will become the new manager of Hibernian. Maybe there is hope for them (next year). Oh, and East Stirling held on for a draw with Stirling Albion, and with Annan losing at Albion, we've got a 3 point lead |
