So because parents are failing in protecting little Timmy by using parental controls and educating him on internet safety, what he should and shouldn't be looking at for example, adults have to give dodgy age verification companies personal info and trust it's not sold, leaked or hacked, sounds like a solid plan implemented by Ofcom
They really are clueless. Privacy seems to be less of a priority than it should be.
Still haven't protected little Timmy from the harms of 'social' media have they, which is likely much more damaging than porn ever has or ever will be.

Read a bit about this the other day and it seems it will catch social media sites if they allow porn. I expect Musk will be kicking off about it next week, It could be rather fun

I wonder how the babes will be affected here I would think OF, Twitter and Instagram will end up being prime targets.
I know most of the stuff on OF, you have to pay for the harder version, but I imagine we will see something of an increase in subs fees.
I epect Musk to kick off on it pretty quickly and then ask Trump for clarification

^Twitter I couldn't care less about, it can disappear tomorrow and it won't make a difference to me. Instagram could do with vast reduction in "adult" spam so that would be a huge bonus and OnlyFans already has age verification so it's unlikely to be affected much, if at all.

I think Musk already has been kicking off about this, it's why I think he's been going after Keir Starmer & the government so much over recent weeks. Once Trump's inauguration is out of the way, he'll up his attacks even more.
If the government & ofcom plus parents think this is the silver bullet and protect kids from adult content, they are so wrong. Kids these days are so tech savvy, they'll find ways round whatever age verification comes in, as I'm sure will companies etc who have to bring in age verification under these rules
Also I wouldn't be surprised if this age verification doesn't even come into effect at all or ar least not in July due to legal challenges etc. Remember when the Tories tried doing this pretty recently and made a big fanfare about bringing AV in, but nothing happened
