Ali Carter beat home favourite Graeme Dott 4-2 while Scott Donaldson was another to perish losing 4-0 to Chris Wakelin. Ryan Day was superb in trouncing Anthony McGill 4-1 while Barry Hawkins also played very well in a 4-2 victory over Alexander Ursenbacher. The tables are playing nicely which is helping produce a really excellent standard of play. This evening Barry Hawkins edged out home favourite John Higgins 4-3.
