RE: Dr Who - munch1917 - 04-05-2013 18:57 The mad woman's speech at the beginning, she uses the phrase 'the devils juggernaut'. Nobody at that time would know what the heck a juggernaut was! Piss poor script-writing, does nobody proof-read this stuff? RE: Dr Who - Sm© - 04-05-2013 19:05 (04-05-2013 18:57 )munch1917 Wrote: Nobody at that time would know what the heck a juggernaut was! Not seen the episode yet, what time period was it set in? The word juggernaut was used in the early 1850s. RE: Dr Who - Regenerated - 04-05-2013 19:05 I think it's shockingly poor and very fuzzy thinking. I can't believe that Moffatt is the same bloke who wrote two of the scariest episodes I'd ever seen - the Empty Child (Eccleston) and Blink (Tennant). Because the shite they're churning out at the moment is overall making the show suck. Shame. You're correct, I take it back (still piss poor script-writing overall though) RE: Dr Who - Stillroom Rock - 04-05-2013 20:06 Once upon a time I would hide behind the sofa, tonight I actually FELL ASLEEP ON THE SOFA. I have it sky plussed but is it worth it? RE: Dr Who - Cheesy Grin - 04-05-2013 21:05 RE: Dr Who - Doddle - 05-05-2013 08:37 I thought this was an improvement on last week, as there were a few good bits amongst the dross. Ada smashing the creature was better closure than we usually get. Ada smashing the creature was better closure than we usually get. It would be boring if we all agreed. I'm glad you enjoyed but it seemed to me like it was being played for laughs. A bit of humour is great but I felt this was too daft. There were some bits that could have led to a decent story but sadly it never happened. The ending was truly awful. As if those two kids would research her like that and then be able to blackmail her. Their inclusion looks set to annoy in future episodes too unless the Cybermen take pity and blow the shit out of them. The way it's going Dr Who will be on Ceebeebies before much longer RE: Dr Who - Regenerated - 05-05-2013 11:19 Hopefully the Cybermen will 'delete' the two annoying kids to hell next week. But I know that River Song is returning soon. Oh shit. If only she could be just whisked away to the library in 'Silence of the Library' where she meets her end already. I might follow Bytor's lead and put on some classic Who DVDs this weekend from my vast collection. Perhaps some classic Tom Baker, Jon Pertwee or Peter Davison stories that I haven't had chance to watch yet. RE: Dr Who - bigguy01 - 05-05-2013 16:49 might over the summer watch the whole dr who series online from the very beginnning. "resistance is futile" |
