shake it all about - Dan Volatile - 22-05-2016 01:00

I've just seen the latest news conference by David Cameron where he said that there is a starfleet from Alpha Centauri in orbit around Iapetus, one of the moons of Saturn. Paddy Ashdown who was alongside him said that intelligence reports suggest that, in the event of a Brexit vote, this force is likely to stage a joint airborne and amphibious invasion of North Wales centered on the Welsh Mountain Zoo near Colwyn Bay.

I originally voted to leave in CWs poll but given the latest information I have changed my mind and, if it's possible, could a member of the team add one to remain and subtract one from leave.

Cheers

Dan

""If you're registered to vote""

This being the operative, a lot may assume they are, some may not know they are not, I fail to see why alerting people to make sure they are registered is a problem.

Nor do I see where it has anything overly to do with brexit, checking you have a right to vote may result in more votes for in, could even be much more voted for in than out.

It may be different in England but, up here, the government run an ad campaign telling people how to register and whether they need to. So, unless you're from Alpha Centauri Wink, there is really no excuse.

Any 'unofficial' campaigns on social media, to get people to register are probably from the brexit side. The thinking is, if you're not registered/can't be arsed to vote you're more likely to be 'anti-establishment' and, therefore, more likely to vote leave if you can be persuaded to vote at all.
In the run up to the Scottish referendum the SNP government, with impeccable timing Rolleyes granted an amnesty to all the old poll-tax dodgers who were deliberately staying off the electoral register to make themselves harder to trace. I'm not sure whether this actually helped the Yes vote or not because it pissed off alot of people who had paid their poll tax, especially those who struggled to pay it but paid nonetheless.

It's interesting to see that, despite alot of influential people like wackawoo coming out for Leave, this poll stubbornly remains at around the same split as it was at the start.

Actually its the other way round here the campaigns more aimed at youngsters and people who dont vote

Most leavers will be registered to vote seeing UKIP got over 5 million votes in the general elections

have to say im bloody sick of the crap coming from both sides cant wait for jun 24th and hopefully a decisive result for Remain so we dont have to go thru this a bloody again for a generation but i doubt it will be close and we will be going thru this for decades !!!

Surprised neither side have said that voting for the other side will give you cancer

Was the scottish Indy Ref as bad as this as i remember it had a pretty good debate

But the general consesus is we are fucked either in or out of EU

And thats what the danger is if a couple of millions think that and decide not to vote and low turnout ensues

cant see it being over 80% like the scottish ref was

I really don't think I have ever been influential on this site Big Laugh

What my personal conclusions about it all, having read the detail, has nothing whatsoever to do with anybody else's vote.

Personally, I wouldn't overly put a great deal of importance on a bit of a poll (incidentally one I haven't voted in) were a very very tiny minority of a tit forum have voted; 156 out of 56,631.
