The album will feature reamagined artwork and a live bonus disc containing their 2009 headline set at New York's Madison Square Garden. All Hope Is Gone was their most creative album in my book,I hope the new one can live up to that standard. RE: Heavy Rock - Metal Discussion Zone - Skyline - 14-11-2018 16:15 I agree, I hope it's a good one too, I was reading that when Slipknot we're making All Hope Is Gone, the members were at odds with each other and no one was speaking to each other, lots of creative differences but in the end what they released was a fantastic album. Would still like to see them do one more album with Joey Jordison on drums. RE: Heavy Rock - Metal Discussion Zone - rpj316 - 26-11-2018 02:37 Just a couple of good tracks I was listening to on my travels yesterday. Revocation-"Cleaving Giants Of Ice" from the album "Great Is Our Sin".Really interesting lyrics:)and a nice guitar solo towards the end. http://youtu.be/dIu9ooUAsAk (audio only) Also been listening to Trivium's "In Waves" and the song "Of All These Yesterdays".I've always liked how they seem to effortlessly mix really heavy riffs with melodic interludes like Iron Maiden and Metallica. http://youtu.be/Q4H5OJbPT44 (audio only) RE: Heavy Rock - Metal Discussion Zone - PoZo - 28-11-2018 19:56 Been really loving this small French band Insolvency recently https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OelO4oNw8xI And From under the Willow https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eq4EeyYxhHU RE: Heavy Rock - Metal Discussion Zone - rpj316 - 28-11-2018 21:41 ^ great stuff there bud, thanks for the links. RE: Heavy Rock - Metal Discussion Zone - PoZo - 29-11-2018 18:55 What would you prefer to listen to or does it depend on the mood? Old school British thrash. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JedtTm2mN-U Or New school British Metalcore http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=22CmxMJU2V0 RE: Heavy Rock - Metal Discussion Zone - Carl-Gen X - 29-11-2018 19:02 (29-11-2018 18:55 )iamalion Wrote: What would you prefer to listen to or does it depend on the mood? Got to be old school British thrash. Definitely. Don’t get me wrong, nothing wrong with the new metalcore, but the old school stuff is what I grew up with, and still kicks arse to this day. |
