So the likely outcome of a Hung Parliament has come true. The exit polls indicated this very early and the predictions by the BBC, SKY and ITV news teams proved very accurate.
I stayed up as late as I could to watch the results coming in, before bleary-eyed-ness took over. I do wonder though how many of those voters that were turned away from polling stations and not allowed to vote could have influenced the final results, and avoided us the dreaded hung parliament.
Now there will be an attempt at some sort of deal for a co-allition government to gain an overall majority in the commons... expect the tories and lib dems to agree on some things for a while, only for it to break up sometime in the next year, and force us all into another election.
Gordon Brown remains prime minister until he resigns, or until others have decided his fate. Nick Clegg actually has a lot of the keymaking role now, in the sense that he holds important bargaining tools that both David Cameron and Gordon Brown may want to deal with. If nothing comes of any attempted co-allition though, we can expect another election in the next year.

The only good thing about this protracted game of deal or no deal is that we don't have to look at noel edmonds.
I reckon the time has come to do what many countries around the world do - let the americans decide who should govern them.
