RE: Bluebird - Channel Research: Encrypted Content - chrislatimer - 14-04-2010 14:48 bottom line is . the hardest that can be shown on british television is the equilivant to tvx and redhot, i cant see people paying a 5 note a night to watch this channel. it will die in 78 days RE: Bluebird - Channel Research: Encrypted Content - speedybert - 14-04-2010 21:06 After all TVX night calls didn't last long which featured full frontal nudity and after the basic payment for the night was about 25p a minute I seem to remember. I think the show would last a long time if it had the right women. Georgie, Tammy T, Lori, Camilla, Stevie, Tiffany, Paige, Elise. These seem to be quite popular women, so why not get them and be successful. If most of them don't want to do full frontal, then good luck, because I can't think of any other babestation women that would interest me. Hang on guy: we haven't hyped anything ! We have simply asked the Forum guys for their opinions of what they would like to see on an encrypted channel. RE: Bluebird - Channel Research: Encrypted Content - HEX!T - 15-04-2010 12:04 you have been hyping razing expectation with subtle phrasing of your replies. and im telling you, encryption is pointless, you cant show what we as adults want due to outside influence. any film you show will be so censored as to be unwatchable, ofcom rules still apply. the only way to make a channel that can earn you money in todays market is phone sex. and to get enough viewers as to make the channel viable is to be unencrypted, because encrypted doesn't offer enough explicitness as to be worth the cost to the punter especially at £5-£10 per night... the only way i could see encryption working and it being worth the punters while is a free/nominal fee to signup for a pin (credit card being age verification) and then charge him/her £2pm for the sexchat calls. but even then you will have to offer a lot more than the other channels do. but there again is the problem most wankers just want to sit and watch comparativley few do call. so the chance of them signing up to yer pin site are slim, the 1s who would call would almost instantly (depending on the girls you have) but the free loaders well thas just what they are, they would still think there being ripped even if you charged them £1. tell you what, have 1 night free and have a similar system as babestation did last night txt for pin/websignup/email signup, this will give you a baseline of your potential audiance then compare that to the amount of calls you actually get i guarentee it will be about 2 percent of your actual viewers even with harder content. but show unencrypted content and im sure your caller ratio will be double if not more(depending on the girls). RE: Bluebird - Channel Research: Encrypted Content - Sylar - 15-04-2010 19:22 I agree with everything Hexit says above... TVX, The Adult Channel, Sport XXX have all tried encrypted shows boasting 'some of the biggest names in th UK adult industry', but none of them have been able to make it work. 'Firsts' like a TJ and Gemma Massey girl/girl scene would be great, but the novely value only lasts for so long... enticing viewers to continually pay out time after time when there are so many free channels around, would just make an encrypted Bluebird channel unstainable IMO. RE: Bluebird - Channel Research: Encrypted Content - kasone - 16-04-2010 06:38 To Bluebird, any chance we can find out how far you can go on an encrypted channel? I know penetration is off the cards, but masterbation, pink spread? Also with it a webcast you can go the extra distance, but all depends on how much you charge, my preference would be a joint tv and web sub, this will let people more choice to look at the tv or online. Babestation have started an encryted channel, but from reading the reviews it wont last long, because of the £5 a day charge, i would go with a monthly sub, this is because stuff like the adult channel and tvx both have the monthly sub and you can watch when you like. I would also suggest trying to bring the cost down to about £10-15 per month this is because TAC and TVX both have multiply channels at about this price, you need to bring something new to the show because people will turn off if they arent satisified, please if you can find out what new content will be available to you as a channel. [split] Bluebird - Channel Research: Encrypted Content - HEX!T - 16-04-2010 10:07 it aint 5 pound a day my thats there special offer it supposed to be £10 RE: Bluebird - Channel Research: Encrypted Content - MARCCE - 18-04-2010 12:08 In my opinion, any serious business plan would have to include options for both nightly and monthly payments. Just like the old Sky Prremier League ppv games. They recognised that some people would be happy to pay a set fee to see all the games so gave a discounted season ticket option. For those who only wanted to watch their own specific team the option was there to purchase that particular game. The methods of payment will also be important. A lot of people don't want the fact that they've paid for a bit of grubby stuff to be splashed across credit card statements. Seems to me that it's all a bit of a balancing act. Payment options have to be balanced up against age verification requirements whilst the charge to watch has to be balanced up against how much people have as disposable income to pay for something like this. Personally, I'd be very surprised if the majority of babe channel viewers would be able to justify paying out much more than £15-20 per month for it. So zero would be my answer. Why just accept what the censor says? That’s what ALL of the other broadcasters have done for the last 5 years, and look how tame the babe channels, and encrypted, so-called adult channels, are; if you are genuinely trying to launch something new, then standing up to Ofcon is a prerequisite (i.e. take the fuckers to court!) FWIW, I would never pay for softcore, and, IMO, encrypted should mean hardcore (when you have babes who are willing to ‘indulge’, of course). |
