It's impressive is it not that Roy Keane beat Vinnie Jones for the number of red cards? But both were beaten by Zinedine Zidane who racked up a total of 14 in his career.

Yeah, yeah but Zidane could actually play football.*

* expects and probably deserves derision from Man U supporters.

John Burridge holds the record for most football clubs played for by one player, with 29 in total, 15 of those were league clubs. The 29 are:-

Workington, Blackpool, Aston Villa, Southend United, Crystal Palace, Queens Park Rangers, Wolverhampton Wanderers, Derby County, Sheffield United, Southampton, Newcastle United, Hibernian, Scarborough, Lincoln City, Enfield, Aberdeen, Dunfermline Athletic, Dumbarton, Falkirk, Manchester City, Notts County, Witton Albion, Darlington, Grimsby Town, Gateshead, Northampton Town, Queen Of The South, Purfleet and Blyth Spartans.

When he appeared for Manchester City in 1995, he became the oldest player to appear in the premier league at the age of 43.

RE: Football Records - Regenerated - 10-10-2010 00:55

A few Champions League / European Cup Statistics:-

Only two clubs have appeared in the final more than once and have won both times. Nottingham Forest (1979 and 1980) and FC Porto (1987 and 2004).

Only four clubs have won the European Cup twice whilst remaining unbeaten in the tournament - Ajax, AC Milan, Liverpool and Manchester United.

Manchester United currently hold the record for most consecutive appearances in the Champions League with 15, dating from 1996/1997 to 2010/2011.

Newcastle United are the only team to have progressed beyond the group stage after losing their first three games.
