Am I the only one who finds something really odd about that bit? 'R18' (or equivalent) material is banned outright, but pornography must have restricted access??? As far as I'm aware, if it ain't at least 'R18' (or equivalent), it ain't pornography. Leastways, I've never heard of any pornographic material being given an '18' or lower certificate. I think a march on London is due to demand the Bang Babes back." RE: RIP Bang Babes - mrmann - 26-11-2010 13:28 Still waiting for Rammyrascal's response This was so obviously the doing of Offcom, DUH. Bang just wanted to buy themselves a couple of nights, without everyone switching to another channel. It's understadable, but honesty is always the best choice. Yes, Bang Media is run by idiots who are responsible for their own doom, but you know what, I can't really blame them! They provided us with some great shows, so I'm thankful for that!! It's a shame that they have to be run into the ground because of nudity (On Adult TV! Oh NO!! ). So childish. Ah well, I want to be hopeful that Bang Media will recover, but even if they do, we aren't going to get anything like the recent Zarwood or solo shows anymore, and that's sad. RE: RIP Bang Babes - bigguy01 - 26-11-2010 13:28 the daily mail and express readers are cheering very where. they run ofcom, the ladies bbc cannot show cleavage yet on itv they can which is stupid. they have plenty of girls to go webstream RE: RIP Bang Babes - vila - 26-11-2010 13:53 (26-11-2010 13:11 )TheWatcher Wrote:(26-11-2010 13:04 )vila Wrote: RIP? 13 Prohibition on providing television services without a licence. (1) Subject to subsection (2), any person who provides any service falling within section 2(1)(a), (aa), (b), ( c), (cc), or (d) without being authorised to do so by or under a licence under this Part or Part I of the Broadcasting Act 1996 shall be guilty of an offence. That's UK law. As I think we already know, a broadcaster doesn't need to comply with UK law if broadcasting under a foreign licence. Edit: I'm no expert, but I think "relevant" is the key word. I would assume that a service is only relevant under the Act if it requires a UK licence, which won't be the case if it has a foreign one. RE: RIP Bang Babes - kaelene - 26-11-2010 13:54 so what will happen to the girls? RE: RIP Bang Babes - Rammyrascal - 26-11-2010 14:12 They will go to other channels. Bang has been in decline for over a year since lollypopgate and this news isnt really a surprise. The bang management are largely to blame as they kept on incredibly breaking the rules and if you do that then ofcom will take the licences. Hopefully the channels will be reborn, if not the girls will be on other channels RE: RIP Bang Babes - Scotsman - 26-11-2010 14:34 Bearing in mind that Bang is still going, online and on two channels. It isn't dead yet, let's not get ahead of ourselves. Bang Babes was definitely my favourite channel and as I've said, it always has been. But that said, if I'm flicking through the channels, I stop on the babe that is doing it for me best that particular night, regardless of what channel they're on. So ultimately it comes down to the babes and not the channel so this isn't heartbreaking news or anything, but it's still a shame as Bang had the best production values and everything always looked clear and bright, perfect to see their amazing roster of babes. If babes like Dionne, Tori, Annie etc. end up somewhere like TVX, for 50p a minute or whatever, I'm sure I could live with that. The bigger loss however, is the day shows as The Pad is head and shoulders above everyone else and who knows if girls like Kelly Bell will go elsewhere or maybe just pack it in altogether. RE: RIP Bang Babes - Regenerated - 26-11-2010 14:37 I wasn't aware that Bang Media covered the day shows? I thought Bang Media was just responsible for nights, so I'm not sure if anything will happen to the day shows..? Thats a big shame if it does.... |
