RE: Haye v Wladimir Klitschko its on - Jusin Sayne - 02-07-2011 23:12 Not the most entertaining of fights. Haye could have been a bit more humble and not whinged about his broken toe. The better fighter on the night won RE: Haye v Wladimir Klitschko its on - Snooks - 02-07-2011 23:47 Haye has made the classic error. He talked the talk but not walked the walk and in my eyes has lost a lot of credibility in the process. Endless trash talking taken to needless levels with no respect shown to either Klitschko brother at any time. He relentlessly and remorselessly trashed both of them verbally only to get completely outclassed and embarrassed by one of them. Then just to compound the error he makes a rather pitiful and lame excuse about a toe injury. He had ample opportunity to take a more balanced approach while knowing he had the injury but continued to trash talk and rubbish his opponent right up to the fight itself. There is no hiding place now and I have very little sympathy. RE: Haye v Wladimir Klitschko its on - Regenerated - 02-07-2011 23:52 Haye did indeed talk a lot of trash leading up to this fight, and failed to deliver on the night. I thought the stunt he pulled with the t-shirt showing the decapitated heads of the Klitschko brothers was pretty much the lowest of the low. He took a huge gamble with the insults and threw so much bullshit and abuse at the brothers that he really set himself up with no option other than to win by knockout. When that became an unrealistic possibility from very early on, he really made himself look very silly indeed. RE: Haye v Wladimir Klitschko its on - mitchell - 03-07-2011 00:01 I got in just in time to hear the last 2 rounds on Five Live & hear Haye's excuse of a broken toe, yes his little toe does look swollen & red but when you talk like he does with all the promises & then go & lose for whatever reason you don't then turn on the Oh I was injured nonsense just keep quiet & except that on the night the other guy won however it came about he beat you & all your promises didn't happen. He should've waited a week or so before bringing up the broken toe & Adam Booth having a go at the ref is just typical English, we're not good enough so we'll find an excuse & then blame the ref, they know what ref's are like as well as judges so why bitch & moan. How many sportsmen & women play though the pain barrier with things like cortisone injections yet David Haye wants to use the excuse of a broken toe... Don't think so mate!!! Don't think so mate!!! Exactly what Nadal had done at Wimbledon - he beat Murray with an anaesthetised foot! I could understand Haye being upset if he had lost by one or two rounds as the judges will always have a "home" bias (and that applies in the UK as well!) but he was soundly beaten 117-109, 118-108 and 116-110. He barely won a round. RE: Haye v Wladimir Klitschko its on - broncobilly10 - 03-07-2011 00:21 Haye is a cruiser weight that's all He can't mix it at heavy weight when it matters RE: Haye v Wladimir Klitschko its on - gavlcfc10 - 03-07-2011 00:22 The falling onto the floor pissed me right off then he complained about it there was nothing wrong with that at all. Best boxer won hands down with a truly dominated performance, broken toe or no broken toe Haye would of still lost. RE: Haye v Wladimir Klitschko its on - cityboy76 - 03-07-2011 00:49 He's a soft arse,he should have had a few cans of stella before the fight.......seems to work a treat in town every Saturday night RE: Haye v Wladimir Klitschko its on - El Zorro - 03-07-2011 01:09 At least Haye has become a trend in Twitter right now.... He has being destroyed by the US media and he has only himself to blame. But what really pisses me of, is that he dares to blame on a broken toe his bad performance. Arturo Gatti broke his hand in the 3rd fight with Mickey Ward and he kept on coming and won the fight. Juan Manuel Marquez got knockdown 3 times and suffered a broken nose on the 1st round of his 1st fight with Pacquiao and he fought all the way to a draw. There's so many other cases in differents sporstman have been able to compete with even more severe injuries. Also I dont bought in that "I'm just a cruiserweight" Another lame excuse!!! He's being fighting at Heavyweight from the last 2-3 years. Give me f...break!!! I'm glad he gots his ass kick though, now I cant wait for Wlad K to wear that shirt with a picture of him holding's the Gaymaker....erm...Hayemaker severed toe!!! |
