Brilliant trailer for a fantastic series of absolutely must watch and then watch again and again TV. I think the boxset for series 1 is coming out soon which I'll have to get as managed to miss/lose episode 1 & 5 from my Sky+

It's gonna be strange for me watching season 2, the books have upped my expectations massively

I've resisted the temptation of the books - I read a lot so it wasn't too difficult - but I believe that they are excellent. I won't be able to resist the temptation of the DVDs when they come out in March.
I know the series is shot in Malta (for the warm weather scenes) and Northern Ireland (the north and presumably beyond the wall!) so it has been a bit of a boost to the local economy over there. Just another small point in its favour in my view!

I'm not a reader but the books are amazing, they've just opened the characters so much for me. I'm just about to start the fourth book 'a feast for crows' the last one was brilliant with so many twists it's unreal.

i found a feast for crows very hard to read it didnt get me hooked like the other books but i eventually read it and A Dance with Dragons is amazing cant wait for winds of winter. when you finished feast for crows tell me what you think
