Makund 113 retired hurt,possibly just to let another batsman a hit.Don't forget it's only a weak Northhants bowling attack.I'd rather see him keep his place as Sehwag & Gambhir pose more of a threat.

England win the toss & bowl.Broad gets Sehwag to glove a lifting ball through to Prior,out for a Golden Duck in the 2nd over.Since then boundaries scored,some lucky,but a slow pitch where good batsmen can adjust to any movement of the pitch with little swing wickets will be hard to come by.Patience required.

Another disappointing day's batting for India, 224 all out. Dhoni with 77 was the only real resistance to England.

England do fantastic at home, they are just brilliant, and this series is in the bag as fair as I am concerned.
What will be a huge test is playing test cricket against India in India! That will be the test, that should England pass, will 100% confirm in my mind that they are the best

England building a 1st innings lead.Another Cook century.Strauss goes too far across his stumps & is bowled round his legs by Misra.Out for 87,the umpire missed a no-ball.I thought they checked with the 3rd umpire on wickets,got to use technology for this.

india were absolutly shockingly bad. spin bowler bowling 8 no balls, several regulation close in catches being dropped the only player is show any fight was sharma. there is something seriously wrong within the indian camp and the body language and attaitude of the players is that they are disinterested and dont want to be here. the indian cricketing body has alot to answer for.
yes england on top but i would like to see them fight for it not be given it. that was great at the ashes in 2005 both england and australia went toe to toe, exchanging blows and everyone would now who the best team would be at the end.
