Yes AC Milan scored more goals last season, but only 6 more than Juventus, who don't have the greatest of forward lines. They will beef it up a bit, but Bendther is not the answer. Juventus also had best defence out of all the major teams in the best leagues in Europe. They only conceded 20 in Serie A last season. Not having Conte for the season, is an issue. But I don't think their assistant manager will change much while Conte is gone RE: Champions League 2012/2013 Thread - dan g 27 - 30-08-2012 17:46 Group stage draw for 2012/13 Champions league Just to make predictions of my own for, who will get out of each group Group A FC Porto FC Dynamo Kiev Paris St Germain Dinamo Zagreb 1. PSG 2. FC Porto * If Porto keep Hulk and Moutinho then I think they will finish top Group B Arsenal FC Schalke 04 Olympiakos Montpellier 1. Arsenal 2. Schalke Group C AC Milan FC Zenit St Petersburg Anderlecht Malaga 1. Zenit St. Petersburg 2. AC Milan Group D Real Madrid Manchester City Ajax Borussia Dortmund 1. Real Madrid 2. Man City * I really hope Dortmund get out of that group Group E Chelsea Shakhtar Donetsk Juventus FC Nordsjaelland 1. Chelsea 2. Juventus Group F Bayern Munich Valencia Lille BATE Borisov 1. Bayern Munich 2. Valcenia Group G FC Barcelona Benfica FC Spartak Moscow Celtic 1. Barcelona 2. Benfica * I see Spartak Moscow getting out that group with Barcelona if Benfica don't keep their best players Group H Manchester United FC Braga Galatasaray CFR Cluj 1. Man United 2. Braga RE: Champions League 2012/2013 Thread - iamthatjack - 30-08-2012 18:43 (30-08-2012 16:03 )groundnpound Wrote:(30-08-2012 02:09 )iamthatjack Wrote: The only reason Juve will struggle will because they are in Pot 3, I didn't realise that Haha, I'm happy to stay in their camp RE: Champions League 2012/2013 Thread - eagle_si - 30-08-2012 19:15 These were the odds on Betfair a couple of days ago, plus the current odds after the draw (in red) (28-08-2012 08:10 )eagle_si Wrote: Odds of the favourites: So unsurprisingly, Man City, Real and Dortmund have all drifted in the betting after being drawn together in the Group of Death, and Man U have come in after getting a relatively easy group (but people said that last season). What is surprising to me is how far Arsenal have come in. One final thing, the seeding system really makes a mockery of the term "Champions League". Dortmund won the Bundesliga last season, and the season before that, and ended up in Pot 4 with the lowest seeds while Schalke, who only came third, were in Pot 2. I know why it happens, because of their recent record in European competition, but it still seems unfair. Oh for the good old days when only league champions could play in it and everyone else went into the UEFA Cup, which was a damn good competition, not like today's Europa League which no-one wants to be in. However I have never heard such drivel written about Fergie before. By no means is he my hero or anything, but to suggest the bloke is past it based on your prejudice is ridiculous. He has rebuilt United god knows how many times and this is just another transition. Last season he took an average United side to the brink of winning the league against big spending City. BUT if not for messi and his mates he might hav won it a few more times!(30-08-2012 17:10 )Fernandez Esperenda Wrote: Again man united get the easy draw...
