Last one tonight already; then be back for the Hootenanny next month. Been some good performances this series, and chat from guests.

Tonight in fact. Marc Almond among the guests. I recall him on the 2005/6 one.

Belatedly caught up with this. It remains a silly experience that you need to actively not think about while watching, which is tricky. The Boomtown Rats made a random booking, but at least they didn't need the obligatory help of Jools' precious bloody band. I would have liked them to ironically do "Nothing Happened Today", but no luck.

New series starting next Sunday, seemingly so they can try out every night of the week.

I was amused this week by the naked worship of Pulp, and I suspect the Hives were like "hey, we're on a comeback trail too... whaddyamean, who cares?"

the fact that i had to google the hives may be the reason Tongue Tongue

think with oasis reunion and pulp being back after i think 24 years and its 30 years thing gonna be a lot of nostalgia

I look at Britpop now and it just feels like a dry run for Brexit Sad

They're doing the big Alan Yentob tribute tonight, and instead putting this week's one on next week, in a double bill with next week's one.

Seemed to fly by, possibly with that double-header bunching the middle episodes along.
