how dodgy was the scoring, did reflect the fight?

Mayweather’s usual plan is to eliminate the chances of danger out of every fight with his brilliant defensive style, and this time was no different as he executed his game plan to near perfection.

A comfortable win for Mayweather. No chance now of a rematch.

There can be no argument Mayweather is simply better

Pretty much as I expected.
Mayweather on points.
Never really looked in any trouble.

I know it was a pure boxing performance... even though i had the fight closer. But It just does not sit well with me, especially the ever sycophantic Jim Watt ruining every fight with his commentary too.

Mayweather obviously is a defensive genius, but i cannot help but think 2 things. 1) a younger pacman might have had the legs to get closer more consistently. 2) Too much running from Mayweather. I know boxing is about not being hit, but there are other defensive fighters who offer a lot more offence than he does. Rigondeux springs to mind and in recent times Winky Wright too. It annoys me because Floyd has the talent to stand close to a guy, counter and not run, but then attack.

Where do you guys rate him? Who are the top 3 fighters you have seen in your lifetime?

I am 27, big boxing fan since I was young my top 3:

1) De La Hoya (pure poetry in his prime, a silky smooth fighter who could brawl)
2) Roy Jones Jr (pre tarvar, wow. Wish he had retired years ago)
3) Roman Gonzalez ( 42-0 (36 ko) 3 weight world champion, will win bantamweight title too only 27 maybe super bantam)

Yeah for a defensive fighter is one thing but running at every exchange you can and grabbing and holding to the point that you need to be warned by the ref like 8-10 times is a joke.

You can see why the crowd boo'd and threw some things at the end. Floyd won, but really just buy virtue of running away and throwing baby shots on the exit. The only good shots all night were the two that forced Mayweather to turtle up.

This is exactly why I stopped watching Boxing for MMA. Boxing stopped being about hitting people
Big GrinTongue.
Boxing should be great, the face of the fight would have changed if in the early round Bayliss docked Floyd a point after he warned him 4 times. Furthermore warned him in the last 3 to stop running and throw.

We could have got the great fight boxing needed, but sadly the only memorable thing was shocking commentary from Watt and Halling trying to grease up Floyds dick and the purse.

Did I not say that it was going to be a festering pile of old arse?

And that my friends, is a Phonebook fact.

i don't watch boxing that much i only usually watch the big names but it seems like the ref breaks up the fight far too easily, pacquiao certainly looked like the busier fighter to me but he didn't land many punches on mayweather, mayweather's punches looked weak but he did catch pac in the face a few times when i saw the slow motion replay so he deserved to win, but he didn't dominate the fight or looked like knocking out pacquiao

This was a fight that should have happened five years ago, last night was just the first leg of a legends tour to fund their retirements.

The three best boxers I have seen would be

1. ROY Jones JR - from 93 to 03 he looked unbeatable. He should definitely have retired after beating Ruiz for heavyweight title

2. Julio Cesar Chavez - mexican legend who had a winning run of over 90 fights

3. Pernell Whittaker - best defensive fighter I have ever seen.
