Now 133-5.
What can save England. Rain could be on it's way, can they hold out.

England all out 255.

New Zealand win by 199 runs to draw the series 1-1.

Well done the kiwis. Both tests showed the benefits and positives of ultra aggressive captaincy. Is far better to watch than the opposite though.

Pathetic performance. If they can't bat out for a day against second class spinners and three medium fast quickies, what will they do against a World class fast bowlers.
Australia will murder them.

Fantastic knock this evening from England wicketkeeper Jos Buttler playing for Lancashire Lightning in the war of the roses against Yorkshire Vikings. he smashed 71 off just 35 balls in a mom performance to help Lancashire to an upset 4 wicket win over Yorkshire at headingley

For once I really like the one day squad we have picked!! Good variety, plenty of big hitters... i think we will lose because NZ r a top top side who are settled but i hope the selectors keep faith with the young talented players.

That was the good... now for the bad... Morgan as captain? Everybody knows Root is going to be the next test captain, so why not let him learn and shape his captaincy in the one dayers? He could make this young side his own, they could play in his style.... i think sadly this could be Strauss intentionally keeping him down to protect his mucker Cook. They pretend to acknowledge root as the heir to cook, by making him vice captain... which has no responsibility and cook never misses tests. But stop him from gaining experience.

Has there ever been a series where Cook has out captained the opposition? I think not! Not a slur on him as a batsman, his runs are priceless... but he is not a good captain and lacks the presence to ever become one.

It's game on again today for the 50 overs match between England and New Zealand.
Bad start by England when Jason Roy as out to the 1st ball. Or as a poetic David Gower said " No joy for Jason Roy".

Current score 16-1 after 2

Joe Root hit a century today off just 71 balls, reaching 100 out of 173/3, England's 3rd ever fastest ODI century.

EDIT: Root is out for 104 and England are 180/4 from 24.3 overs.
