Only candidate who could prob take on Boris is Ken Livingstone but thats never going to happen . problem is labour has become the party of champagne socalists full of trendy islington types who think that hating the tories is the latest fashion trend people like Charlotte Church and Russell brand. thats why the scots turned to SNP from Scottish labour thats why a lot of disillusioned labour supporters went and voted UKIP in the north.

Just the thought of bumbling Boris having a chance of being PM is a sick joke. Can you imagine him attending those global summits as PM. how enbarrasing would that be for the country?

He'd be a godsend for the Conservatives. A man who believes in unilateral Nuclear disarmament, higher taxes, higher spending and refuses to accept that Blair & Brown spent vast amounts of cash that we didn't have.

If he had a Donkey Jacket he'd be a dead ringer for Michael Foot. I admired his principles but there's no way I could have voted for him.
