Good morning session by England, restricting Pakistan to 378 all out.

Moeen Ali got another 3 wicket haul.
Although he's just been caught at short leg for 1.

England at tea are 105/2. Bell went for 4 and in his last 20 tests has only averaged 19. Time to give James Taylor a go.

Day 2 close of play due to bad light, England 182-3

Hoping Bairstow, Stokes and Buttler can get some decent runs on day three to bolster England's position.
Batting last on that wicket will be pretty tough so England could do with a bit of a lead going into the second innings.
After losing two early wickets England did well to rebuild.

Bad morning for England. Bairstow scored a quick fire 46 but the rest of the batting failed.
Current score 233-9 and trail by 145.

Buttler always fails in tests. Time to give Bairstow the gloves and bring in James Taylor. England 242 all out and Pakistan at tea are 92/3.

Disastrous collapse.
As Geoffrey Boycott has pointed out England suffer too many batting collapses and rely too heavily on Root and Cook to get runs. The lack of a decent opening partner and a failing middle order is a problem.

Close of play Pakistan 222-3 lead by 358 with 2 days to go.
