Patched up team. Outplayed in the first half.
3 of the back injured at the same time.
Yet they managed to raise their game at the end of the match.

the players did not get going like they did the first half. to go for the win instead of the draw took some balls, don't blame them for going for it. gave away too many penalties.

First of all the ref gave a shocking decision when we were 7 points up. He penalised Farrell for a late tackle when it wasn't. As a result instead of getting a line out just outside their 22 they have the line out 50 metres further down which they scored from. Instead of being 7 point up with a chance to go two scores up we are level with 10 mins left. The ref was a typical weak French man. If he referred the Farrell tackle he woukd have seen be was wrong but be was to arrogant to.
England were the better side by far.
Secondly we should have settled for the draw even though it would still have been daylight robbery. No way will Wales get 4 tries against Fiji and no way will they get near australia. Now we have a mountain to climb though by no means impossible, a very tough one. Beat Australia we will go through.

It was a terrible result. The best side did not win the luckiest side did.
Still some consolation. We will go against the Australians with a point to prove and not thinking we are better than we are. Wales on the other hand will go into the Australian game thinking they are the best team to have played the game, which they always do after a streaky win against a better team, and will get their arses handed to them on a platter. So we have always got that to look forward to. Who knows Fiji would probably do that for us next week anyway.

Good win for Scotland in the end. Not very convincing in the first half, but put on an outstanding performance in the second 40.
A friend of mine is in the Scottish squad, he hasn't been involved so far, but I'm sure he isn't that bothered, he'll still get his 100k even if he doesn't feature

Scotland have done quite well so far. To be fair they have not really been tested. They played a knackered Japenese team and a game but limited American team. Their biggest test comes next weeks against the box. I will be cheering on the scots because I know how much they will be cheering on England against Australia
I'm in two minds in regard to England game against Australia. A part of me thinks a big performance is just around the corner and could do a job on Australia like we did against the all blacks 3 years ago. Another part of me is seriously worried about our inability to put the opponents away when we are on top.

Good second half from Scotland, like Japan game scored 33 points and 5 tries.
Surprised England didn't kick penalty to level game with Wales, forces them to have to beat Australia to make play off round.
