Wimbledon is at least ahead of Roland Garros and Flushing Meadows with a roof on Centre Court although a roof for Arthur Ashe court at Flushing Meadows is very near completion as I understand it.

US Open Australian Open and Wimbledon all have roofs on main courtß, Roland Garros won't until 2020 at earliest

Are all these people Cheering for Federer, Man Utd fans by any chance? Just wondering.

RE: Wimbledon 2016 - Mellow - 06-07-2016 16:26

Federer has come from 2 sets down to beat Marin Cilic 3-2 and go through to the semi-final.

RE: Wimbledon 2016 - Charlemagne - 06-07-2016 16:29

Roger dug deep. Cilic must be gutted

RE: Wimbledon 2016 - setter1000 - 06-07-2016 16:32

Why are the crowd so happy he got through? He is the main obstacle between Murray and his second Wimbledon triumph.

RE: Wimbledon 2016 - Mellow - 06-07-2016 17:11

Federer became successful and gained many fans long before Murray came on to the scene. I don't blame those fans for being loyal and supporting their favourite rather than switching their allegiance to another player.

FEDERER won his first Wimbledon title 2003 Murray been around since 2004. He is a briliant player but I think it's equivalent of supporting Man utd when you are from the home counties. By all means support him when britain have no interest but if the chances of Murray winning Wimbledon are a lot less with him still in the tournament.

RE: Wimbledon 2016 - Charlemagne - 06-07-2016 17:48

I hope that's it's not a omen but one Murray has just been beaten by a couple of Frenchman.
Jamie and partner have just been beaten in a 5 set marathon in the Men's Doubles.

Let's hope that Andy can beat his Frenchman
