Apparently he said "you can't turn turds into diamonds"

Klinsmann is the bookies favourite now. Hoddle is second, Allardyce is up to 3rd and Wenger now 4th.

I would go for Wenger or klinsman. Wenger should take it as it would be a refreshing move for him away from all the stress and aggro he gets with the Arsenal job, also be a fitting way to end his career. Klinsman because of his work with USA, to get them to a semi final spot in the copa tournament is quite sumin, built the us team over a number of years etc, he seems like someone who can really motivate these players.

maybe he is the one to get a bit of passion into the team but have often wondered if Scolari's record might make him a more suitable appointment

But above all whoever takes it on will have to fight the Fa to get what he wants and the FA have to let the manager have a free rein.

All Wenger would do is get us to qualify for every tournament and come through the group stage and get us eliminated in the first game of the knock out stages. Already have Roy to do that. Let him enjoy his cushy stress free job at Arsenal finishing comfortably in the top four without the stress and aggravation of having to strive to win something of note.

Hiddink with Southgate as assistant.

Totally left field choice I know but how about Lawrie Sanchez. His Norn Iron team was always well balanced and played good football. They almost qualified from a group containing Spain, Sweden and Denmark.

I forgot about Sanchez I have to admit he did a pretty good job with N Ireland Will go left field again an suggest they tempt either Klopp away from Liverpool or even Guardiola from City before the season starts!!Tongue and put them together... Not only that I wonder how many of the current squad will survive any cull the new manager makes...probably none I hope

RE: Next England manager - HannahsPet - 02-07-2016 07:00
