RE: Bangladesh vs England 2016 - Charlemagne - 30-10-2016 08:36 Duckett's just made his maiden test match 50. England have moved on to 98-0 RE: Bangladesh vs England 2016 - Snooks - 30-10-2016 10:48 Well well well......... an England collapse. Who would have thought it? . Why am I not in the least bit surprised? From 100/0 to 164 all out. Abysmal but thoroughly unsurprising . Bangladesh win by 108 runs. RE: Bangladesh vs England 2016 - straw man - 30-10-2016 11:44 The series is shared 1-1 and this is the most famous day in Bangladesh cricket history. They took all 10 England wickets in a single session of play. RE: Bangladesh vs England 2016 - Charlemagne - 30-10-2016 11:56 Maybe the other half of the team may show up for the next match... There were too many non performances in this match RE: Bangladesh vs England 2016 - lancealot790 - 30-10-2016 12:04 Just when you thought English sport could sink no lower, disgusting gutless performance. They should all be sent home in disgrace. RE: Bangladesh vs England 2016 - lovebabes56 - 31-10-2016 08:20 One of the most embarrassing England cricket defeats in history RE: Bangladesh vs England 2016 - lovebabes56 - 31-10-2016 08:22 (30-10-2016 12:04 )lancealot790 Wrote: Just when you thought English sport could sink no lower, disgusting gutless performance. how much lower could it sink I wonder after that? The England football team defeated by a Bangladesh football team? RE: Bangladesh vs England 2016 - William H Bonney - 31-10-2016 13:24 Whatever people may say here, Bangladesh in their home conditions are a decent side. They also have better spinners than England, which is obviously a key factor in spin friendly conditions. What really cost England though was the failure of their upper order batting - their highest run scorers in the series were Stokes, Woakes and Bairstow and then fourth in the batting averages came Rashid. With the need for more top order runs I don't see how Ballance the weakest link in the batting can keep his place for the tests coming up in India. RE: Bangladesh vs England 2016 - lovebabes56 - 01-11-2016 08:51 William for me they have to replace Balance as I think he will be found out very quickly on Indian pitches but what concerns me MORE is how we even capitulated in the manner we did when we could have batted without being too reckless and just kept the score ticking over, we have done that too many times in the past got into a winning position (or somewhere near it) and then we end up just throwing the bat at the ball and make costly errors. I often wonder if Cook's position itself could be under threat too Whether he should drop himself down the order or resign as captain. RE: Bangladesh vs England 2016 - jimminybob - 01-11-2016 10:28 ^^ What????? Cook has just become THE highest run-scorer for an opening batsman in the history of test cricket, has more sub-continent runs than ANY non sub-continent player ever and we can't find one opener to partner him never mind two to replace him as well. As for 'throwing the bat at the ball' did you actually watch? There were only 2 dismissals to vaguely attacking shots. The rest were out to timid defensive pushes. Bangladesh's spinners were not put under any pressure after Duckett got out and that was the issue here, not recklessness. |
