I've always said (to anyone who'll listen) that Michael McDonald is the best pure male vocalist I've heard (& I have heard tens of thousands of songs in my time).As you mentioned his mix with Warren.G's Regulate was a cracker & one of the most sought after songs but fook me I looked everywhere & couldn't get a copy.
My other favourite songs of his was his duet with Patti LeBelle (On My Own) & the Doobie Brothers (What a Fool Believes).
