Has there ever been a slimier politician?

Probably not, but Vince Cable and Tony Blair run him close.
Back in the '70s James Callaghan was an equally smiling piece of greasy slime.
When Barbara Castle, a politician who for once, I did have a lot of respect for, tried to bring in some form of trade union reforms, Callaghan stabbed her in the back, so preventing the Labour Party getting a grip on the industrial rest that was wildfire in the 60s and 70s.
Well the end result was by the 1979 General Election, the ordinary folk had had enough and voted Margaret Thatcher in.

I have never trusted people of any sort who do a lot of smiling.
Look at effin Trump, can't stop grining.
You can only trust us grumpy types.

I can't understand why they are giving him asylum.
He was set for deportation to Sweden to face allegations of rape.
He was bailed and then went on the run into the Ecuadorian Embassy.

Since then Sweden have dropped the investigation, so he's now only being wanted for avoiding his bail conditions.
That's not a reason for Ecuador to give him sactuary any more.

He's been there for seven years, rent free bladewave and now he wants to take them to court.

Is it time for the Swedish SAS to go in a la Iranian embassy style and drag him out kicking and screaming? or why doesn't Ecuadorian Embassy just kick him out the front door and call the police?

The Ecuadorian authorities could do it Saudi style.

My understanding as it stands, there are no extradition warrants against Assange. The USA are investigating him but they have not issued a warrant.

Therefore there's nothing stopping him leaving the embassy. As he broke his bail conditions we could just deport him back to his native Australia. That's after he's paid the millions it's cost to police the embassy.

^ His argument has always been that if he comes out the US will ask us to extradite him - he claimed that the Swedes would too.

RE: Politics - The Non-Brexit Thread. - lovebabes56 - 21-10-2018 10:55

So who definitely have extradition claims on him besides the Swedes?
