The only stories I can find about a Slovakian mother of 11 is from 5 years ago and the amounts quoted are 22/24K per year which is bad enough.

back from J/C They said their figures are correct because of my deductions and has nothing to do with my net pay earnings it makes me fucking sick this country's benefits department cannot learn to look after it's own people or put them first yet foreigners can come to this country and they get everything handed to them on a fucking plate.

This is why I believe UC is unworkable it needs to be suspended and the whole current business model needs to be scrapped and re - built in such a way that makes it look that much fairer to those in work & also simpler to understand.

Completely agree with you about UC, it should be not paused as it is at the moment. It needs to be suspended as you say so it can be fit for purpose.

Hope things are better for you soon

RE: My Universal Credit Claim Journey - lovebabes56 - 05-06-2019 17:47

What it is mate it's what on my payslip under the tax column, they don't allow for the savings plan at work certain other stuff and is classed as savings as such and there fore they claim the figures they have arrived at are correct.

THIS IS WHAT HAPPENS WHEN YOU TRY TO GET TOO DAMN BLOODY CLEVER!! = CHAOS & TOTAL HALFWITS RUNNING A FUCKING GOVERNMENT DEPARTMENT, WHO DON'T HAVE A FUCKING CLUE WHAT THEY ARE SUPPOSED TO BE DONG!!!!!

FUKING BS!!

RE: My Universal Credit Claim Journey - lovebabes56 - 06-06-2019 05:11

I think at times there is far more corruption running through the DWP than there is through the whole of the Government itself and it makes me feel like the DWP is actually the Government in disguise!! The DWP is so out of control that I think it feels it is capable of running the country on it's own.

I sincerely hope Labour or any other party will realise it cannot leave the DWP working in it's current form and break the department up at the next election but more importantly any opposition party has to quickly grasp the fact the whole UC systems needs to suspended at the earliest opportunity, and re- structured, and re-introduced with a far simpler and far more realistic payment system that meets each and every ESA/UC's claimants needs and costs whether they are working part time or full time so they are at a point where they can live substantially comfortably without having to deal with not having enough money.
And as for the DWP? it needs to broken up into three separate departments - 1) Employment 2)Benefits 3)Pensions - each with their own rules and regulations working independently of each other and staffed by people who are actually willing to help!! IF I was PM tomorrow, this is what I would do at the earliest opportunity.

Sadly, I'm pretty sure that if that clown Corbyn gets in, then he'll close the DWP completely, and just set up a new agency funding all the immigrants he wants to come over here instead, leaving the actual people who voted or live here as a right devoid of money & any quality of life. The man is a class A moron. I hope for your sake it remains a tory government, even if led by that other clown, Johnson.

We NEED a better benefits system, & more money spent on the NHS, the Police, and many other departments, BEFORE letting any more people into the country. Full Stop!

RE: My Universal Credit Claim Journey - southsidestu - 07-06-2019 00:08

One of the many reasons I stopped supporting Labour was because Corbyn wanted an end to free movement of people which would be highly damaging to our economy as immigration has been a net benefit to the tune of around £24bn. The kind of stories you see around the benefits system like the one quoted here are rare occurrences creating a bullshit narrative. Only 3% of the entire welfare budget goes job seekers allowance and the vast majority of child benefits paid out are to families with 3 children or less, I think once you get to 4 and above the figure is single digit percentile. Even in the rare occasion of 11 children at £24k that works out at £5.50 per child plus mum a day, which is not enough for three meals each let alone clothing, rent, bills, school equipment etc

The Tories on the other hand will sell The NHS to The United States and have drastically cut the budgets of the police and all other departments. Neither Tories or Corbyn are a decent shout.

Whatever the political situation I hope your personal situation will have a positive resolution and that you will be able to put this behind you and move on, as soon as possible

Do you personally know any of them getting this or is this like the 24k a month you thought the government was giving someone?

It's a tough situation and all that and I sympathise with ya, but everyone just raking out the "but the foreigners are getting..." anytime they wanna vent is how we wind up making terrible decisions that wind up fucking you over even more.

The government has absolutely no reason to favour immigrants in benefit schemes, and they don't.

The other thing I wasn't aware of but have since found out is UC was brought in as an austerity measure which the UN has blasted. IDS has a lot to answer for come the next election
