Anyone wishing to have a go at management, please apply to the Football Association... No experience or ability required...

That was embrassing. The French ref didn't help.

It's interesting how Gareth Southgate has become such a victim of his own success. He's managed England to a semi-final and a final in successive tournaments, after England had managed only 2 semi-finals in the previous 50 years. Even after recent disappointments, he still has the second best win rate of any England manager. But inevitably he's raised the bar by which he's judged, so that the tournaments in which England performed poorly in the past or didn't even qualify for are now completely forgotten. People's only expectation is that Southgate continues his run of great success and he will be roundly criticised if he doesn't.

A good, controlled performance by England tonight in Greece. Given the number of senior players missing and the recent Greek home record that 3-0 win is an encouraging one.

A good win by the reserves. We badly need someone who can cross a ball.

It's the final game of the group later today in the Nations League.
England will end top of the group if they emerge with a win against Republic of Ireland at Wembley.

England have seen off Republic of Ireland 5-0 to gain promotion back to League A of The Nations League. A nice way for Lee Carsley to end his tenure as England head coach before Thomas Tuchel takes over.
Some encouraging performances from a series of youngsters particularly in the match in Greece and again tonight.
Well done chaps Smile.
