RE: Has VAR ruined football? - mikedafc - 27-02-2020 21:04 Because that wasn't the exact moment the ball was headed forward and Gabigol's head was offside so goal should have not stood. The linesman put his flag which they were told not to do in close offside decisions. When you are overruling the linesman in these circumstances then why have linesman (19-01-2020 12:46 )William H Bonney Wrote:(24-09-2019 22:41 )mikedafc Wrote: Watching Brazilian football, they took 6 minutes to decide whether Flamengo goal was offside or not against Corinthians and still got the wrong decision RE: Has VAR ruined football? - lovebabes56 - 01-03-2020 07:10 So how do you view the proposal by Wenger? Would it make VAR offside checks that much easier? RE: Has VAR ruined football? - Snooks - 27-08-2023 23:26 VAR per se is fine. It's the human interpretation of incidents in the VAR room that annoys me. It's bad enough that referees on the pitch are making appalling decisions. But now we have VAR adjudicators also getting it wrong with the benefit of slow motion replays and the old excuse about insufficient evidence to overturn original decision being used. And all we see is apologies that are of no use to affected clubs. It's tiresome. RE: Has VAR ruined football? - Snooks - 23-09-2023 15:59 Another apology incoming to my lot no doubt after today's debacle of a VAR penalty decision in favour of Luton . Mind you Wolves are that useless at present they would probably have conceded eventually anyway . RE: Has VAR ruined football? - fazzer77 - 23-09-2023 16:09 The simple answer to VAR and football is that it's simply not a good idea. The way it's done was never how I thought it would be done when 'technology use' in football was called for as far back as the 80's. In 3 words 'shower of shit' first comes to mind. RE: Has VAR ruined football? - Snooks - 30-09-2023 22:27 Can't even get offside decisions correct now . Officials are hopeless, get foreign referees in, can't do any worse than the shower of English shite who fail to get the right decision on EASY incidents week in week out RE: Has VAR ruined football? - Skyline - 01-10-2023 10:02 Premier League Referees RE: Has VAR ruined football? - Kingsmind - 01-10-2023 21:53 Is that Steve Copper taking over his dad to become a referee. RE: Has VAR ruined football? - Snooks - 27-11-2023 22:02 Oh look. Another two nonsensical VAR penalty decisions against Wolves. Quelle fucking surprise Top of the screwed over league |
