Paramount+ will launch in the UK on the 22nd June and will air the first 3 Eps but still will be behind the airing in the States.

Episode 5 "Spock Amok"
After the intensity of the last episode, a total lighter shift in tone but still pulls it off smoothly. The opening sequence was a great nod to the TOS episode "Amok Time" using that series original music score

With Paramount+ being available in the UK on the 22nd of June, the price will be £6.99 a month if you have Sky Cinema it will be free, so am glad I don’t have pay for it.

Thought episode 8 was bloody daft tbh. The doc's kid story is not as compelling as they thought it was perhaps. Is this why it's been resolved so quickly?
The back stories they insist on laying out for lead characters thesedays are a bit of a downer in this show. None of them are particularly interesting. One beauty of TOS - which this is in part an attempt to recreate - was that the audience found out about the main characters organically. The production personelle worked it out as they went along and character stuff came OUT OF the adventures they faced (story of the week was all back in the day). Nowadays every character has to have this backstory they have to look to share from the get go. It's cumbersome to pure adventure story telling.
