New Zealand had no answers to Pakistan's bowling attack, they struggled to set a defendable target. In their first match it was the left-arm swing & pace of Shaheen Shah Afridi that set Australia back. This time it was Haris Rauf, who signaled his intent with his first delivery, a 92mph yorker, his 4 wickets were instrumental in keeping the Kiwi's in-check. When they batted, unlike the India match, they needed to show their depth, & New Zealand had half a chance, as they slipped to 87-5 with 5.1 overs remaining. Asif Ali calmly cleared the ropes with 3 sixes in his knock that took them to victory. New Zealand where without their strike bowler Lockie Ferguson, who will miss the rest of the Tournament, Adam Milne will replace him in the squad. Good summation Booms!! Rauf has a big future ahead for sure!! I remain to be convinced (the man is a superstar (Suni tried to say - i think - that NZ had no superstars - K Williamson is one in Test match cricket, and Odi's to an extent) of K Williamson in T20. I am just not sure it is his format! RE: ICC T20 Mens World Cup 2021 - Snooks - 27-10-2021 13:27 Comfortable win for England . After claiming 3 early wickets courtesy of Moeen nabbing 2 in 2 balls and Rashid taking a fine catch off Woakes to dismiss dangerman Shakib a rebuilding job was required by Bangladesh. It got so far but then things began to go rather pear shaped for them. A very intelligent lbw review saw off Mushifqur to Liam Livingstone and then a farcical run out brought another wicket. From there some pretty unauspicious shots and sound fielding saw wickets continue to fall with Tymal Mills finishing off a trio of tail enders. Chasing 125 to win Roy and Buttler set off quickly in the powerplay before Buttler was caught on 18. Malan joined Roy and the pair broke the back of the chase with some strong hitting. Roy was eventually out for 61 but England were virtually home and dry by then and promptly sealed an 8 wicket win. RE: ICC T20 Mens World Cup 2021 - Boomerangutangangbang - 27-10-2021 13:36 T20 would definitely be Williamson's weakest format, but I've seen him clear the ropes on small ground in the IPL. Devon Conway is ranked 7th, & has made a big impact early in his career. Guptill & Southee Are both ranked just outside the top 10 rankings, & have been consistent performers. Interestingly Adam Milne who didn't make the original squad, only as a reserve, is a 90+ mph bowler, who would've surly been included if the tournament had been held in Australia or South Africa. RE: ICC T20 Mens World Cup 2021 - Snooks - 27-10-2021 14:01 Awful start for Scotland. Wicket down first ball And another one gone. 2/2 And another 2/3 . 18/4 RE: ICC T20 Mens World Cup 2021 - Boomerangutangangbang - 28-10-2021 05:38 Match 22 Group 1 - 28-10-21 (3pm) - Dubai Australia v Sri Lanka Aus elected to field SL 154-6 Kusal Perera 35 Asalanka 35 Rajapaksa 33 no Zampa 2-12 Starc 2-27 Cummins 2-34 Aus 155-3 (17 overs) Warner 65 Finch 37 Smith 28 no Hasaranga 2-22 Australia won by 7 wickets RE: ICC T20 Mens World Cup 2021 - hornball - 28-10-2021 14:59 Special mention for Namibia, all of them, but in particular Ruben Trumpelmann!! This guy has some serious bowling skills (yes only scotland) First two deliveries aside (happens to the best) he has pace shape and control, together with decent height and what I call ball spring (not mere bounce) but elevation from a fuller length from his delivery 'wrist position, snap etc'. If I was a county DOC, I would be grabbing his agents contact details in a hurry!! Or his own if he is lacking an agent at this point!! Given Namibia's relative lack of action, he would be available to any such team for far longer than an expensive 'big name' alternative Namibia deserve their place in the bright lights of this sport. Should be included in an odi series with SA in whatever country they are touring in!! No more trying to keep them (or any of the so - called associates) in 'their place' In actual fact, all associates should be included 'piggy backing' in any tours their nearest test nation neighbours are undertaking!!
