I'm not the Beckhams biggest fan but fair dues to him for not queue jumping like the MPs and others.

Queue jumping shows you have no respect for The Queen or those waiting to pay their genuine respects, shouldn't be allowed.
In fact, the only people that should be getting special treatment are the elderly and those with disabilities...and that is it!

He was having a moan about not getting a knighthood recently, wasn't impressed by that.

When one deluded journo used the line 'even (yes even) David Beckham stood in the queue' - I nearly lost it....I really did!! When Sky - it had to be Sky - who can't function without him or some other 'personality' from the football world singled him out, I just rolled my eyes thinking 'typical'!

Did someone think that he was too important to wait his turn?? Also, on this occasion (I usually find myself defending MPs from unfair criticism) I agree that they should have waited like everyone else for their rightful turn.

The media have been pushing for him to receive a knighthood for years.....why I have no idea! Yes to hear him - more - or - less put himself forward as worthy and question why it hadn't happened to that point is 'disappointing'

all the celebs now jumping on phil and holly is only because they didnt get the same treatment you can bet the likes of Kirstie Alsop and Dan Wooten would be first in the queue to Q jump Tongue Tongue

remember when beckhams were shamed into not taking furlough money for Victorias fashion business even though they were worth over 350 million and there questionable tax arrangements

Yeah, now I do admit I did suspect Mr Beckham's honorable act was another entry on his knighthood application form lol. But I'm in a charitable mood at the moment so I give him the benefit of the doubt laugh

^ When we see all the tosspots that Johnson has nominated as part of his resignation honours list I think we'd be delighted if Beckham got one.

RE: RIP Queen Elizabeth II - Snooks - 17-09-2022 01:11

Don't get me started on the honours system.
I could rant about that for hours and hours.
But I shall resist Wink.
