There's an idea, maybe Atlanta doing yoga could be the UK's gimmick for next year.

My favourite song from Armenia came a respectable 8th. Not their highest ever position but I'm satisfied with that.

Would she be up for it?

The French song stood head and shoulders above the rest.
There was no silly staging, there was nothing gimmiky about the lyrics and it was excellently sung.

It was third but it deserved much more.

Wouldn't be surprised if we are asked to sing in French or Italian next year!!

Wouldn't it be great if it was an actual contest where each country put their best singers on and had proper judges instead of basically freaks, clowns and goofs prancing around and making everything political...

I caught some of the lowlights, wasn't the best, but there were a few talented performers.

Getting sod all from the public vote is very telling and very funny, look back at Sam's performance, it was great, zero to hero stuff, plus he comes across as a pretty nice guy as well, then we have Olly, well, whoever gave our entry the go ahead should hang their heads in shame, those who voted for it and put together that performance, what were you thinking. If it's not a catchy tune or europop/dance/cultural...or good, then it is doomed to fail.

Goatman it was supposedly a good song contest at one point - I think now i'm not so sure.

It might be good again if they dropped the way the public vote is done and just left it to judging panels made up of musical experts and ensured countries can't vote for each other.

We would win if that happens.
